Orlando Jordan is what ruined the show. You do realize that right?

He's got a point. Orlando Jones is pretty awful.

I just don't understand why TNA would even give him time on that episode. You ruin what could be a sick X division match and then later on flaunt orlando jordan. Kind of foolish.

Hopefully the "big debut" at Genesis is a good one. If they're flaunting about Orlando like you guys say they are, then yeah, don't expect much. Then again, they acted like Lashley was a big deal, so whatev. I'm a little late, but the Hardy appearance wasn't that surprising. It's the only place where he can wrestle on television while still using drugs.
EDIT: Without getting in trouble. Gotta add that part in. It's pretty important.

I just watched the entire iMPACT! on youtube the other day. There were so many things wrong with this show (as everyone else seems to have mentioned). It was cool getting to see these old stars for about 15 minutes, and then I started to realize that TNA had become WCW. WCW was great when they got all sorts of WWF guys to jump at their prime and peak. Now, they're all old and waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy past their prime. It's just kind of sad.
I read a brief little thing that someone wrote about the difference between Kevin Nash and people like Hall & Waltman. Nash knows he's old. He doesn't try to hide that. He dresses like an older gentleman, acts like one (for the most part), etc. Hall & Waltman saying "The band is getting back together" all night was just sad. That was cool back in the late '90s. Ten years later when you're doing the same thing because you can't get a job anywhere else, it's... well, pathetic.
And further... Fuck Bubba the Love Sponge. Who the hell cares about him? No one. I only ever heard of him b/c he's good friends with Hogan. Let JB do his job. Or for the matter, Christy Hemme.
And you have Flair on the show for what? I get it, it's great that Flair's in the company. He could theoretically do great things (promos, manage, GM-type role or just be an ambassador for the company), but you put him in two meaningless segments that don't payoff. He doesn't speak once. The man is a genius, and while he might not have been as big of a draw as Hogan back in the day, he probably is just as big of a draw now.
I don't like Jeff Hardy, but they fucked up with that. The man should have been one of the biggest focuses of the show. He just left WWE where he main-evented Summerslam and was their champion. Yes, he's perfect for the X-Division and may give it validity for new TNA viewers, but he comes in and hits Homicide with a chair, paints, kisses a 12 year old and leaves. He should have been more of a focus.
On the good side, their were some good matches. The Knockouts tag was a very good tag match, in my opinion. Wolfe vs. Pope was also good. And the main event was a very solid match that showcased two of the best talents today. The X-Division Steel Asylum Whatever the hell it's called match, was not so good. I think it was a terrible way to showcase the X-Division. It was just a cluster-fuck cage match with no real purpose. Plus, it seemed that it was pretty much physically impossible to climb out of the damn thing. They should have just had a 6-man X-Division tag, or something similar.
All right, I just realized I'm rambling and I typed way too much. I'm done.
I'll probably watch next week's episode just to see if they improve at all or continue the same shit.

I loved the 6 sided ring. It ensured that TNA was an alternative as opposed to competition. I felt that TNA could just coexist with WWE if they had a 6 sided ring. Its gimmicky yes but I love TNA and I love WWE so I'd prefer them be two different things.

There are ALOT of fans who've written off TNA simply because of that ring.

Its gimmicky yes but I love TNA and I love WWE so I'd prefer them be two different things. That's just the thing... they started using the 6-sided ring to be different, but it hasn't worked out that way. Everyone still wrestles like they're in a regular ring. If anything, it's more constricting since the ropes have no give & nobody has been able to do anything interesting with the 2 extra sides.

I just feel like its more round than a square so its more wrestling like. Plus it seems to be better for springboard moves but if thats the only thing that it benefits then I can understand getting rid of it. I personally think TNA should primarily focus on the X division but thats clearly not what they are going for and HJA said fans may write off TNA because of that six sided ring and not even give the company a chance.

For the first year I knew TNA existed ('05), I only flipped the show on once, thought it was some kind of Spike gameshow, and tuned out. I only got started actually following TNA when they signed Kurt Angle.

Yea not a bad idea. Turn it into a comedy wrestling promotion on TV. Then they can get away with whatever storyline they want even if it involves someone being taken to the top of the impact zone in a coffin again.
