The final image of the greatest championship reign any of us have ever witnessed: It's like art, or something.

The final image of the greatest championship reign any of us have ever witnessed: It's like art, or something. Needs more camera cuts.

G1 final in the Budokan sold out in minutes. And I'm in!
Oh, and Hiromu vs Desperado was pretty sweet.

If anybody is interested. Voices of Wrestling (One of my favorite websites) is doing a G1 Climax prediction contest. Big Ace Turo Yano is gonna win.

Is it too late to start a MV Zone G1 prediction game?
I'm excited for the tournament. Last year was the first G1 I followed from start to finish and that was a load of fun. The show this weekend looks interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of Cody but I'm looking forward to Kenny's first defense of the title.

That looked so brutal. And he still finished the match too.

www.njpw1972.com/31162But enough with the high angle neck bumps already. There were two in the main event of the Kenny Omega show last weekend that were just as terrifying (one by Naito, one by Ibushi). Not to mention basically every Will Ospreay title defense this year. I respect that those guys are going all out to have the best match possible. But being afraid you just saw somebody's career end doesn't exactly make a match more entertaining.

I totally agree with Jericho, who said in response to all the injuries and high risk moves recently, that Strong Style isn’t the problem. Strong Style is great and exactly what wrestling needs, and he said that it hurts when he wakes up after a Strong Style match, but in a good, non-injury way. We gotta be honest and say some of these matches are borderline to complete King’s Road matches, and I love those matches as much as the next guy, but there’s a reason nobody does them anymore, it literally chips away at your career the most out of all other wrestling styles. I’m okay with the occasional high risk bump in big matches(I’m talking Dominion-WK matches, and even then upper card to main event ones), but being like Will or Hiromu or literally half the New Japan roster where it’s almost every match you bust out a new killer spot, it’s literally gonna kill somebody eventually. Take a lesson from Dynamite Kid, stop before it’s too late.
