So this promotion/tv show/whatever it's supposed to be should have it's own thread, right?
I can't get over Angelico's crazy dive from this week's main event. The match itself was nothing special, but that spot felt like a real star-making moment for him.
It wasn't just an amazing highspot combining death-defying risk and incredible physical grace, it felt like the whole trios tournament had built to that moment. Perfect, simple wrestling storytelling.
I actually liked both the Trios final and the championship match against The Crew. But that spot man. I had to watch this week's episode on dailymotion because my DirecTV didn't record it, so I had no idea what was going to happen (I even stayed off Twitter because the LU Twitter account will tweet out GIFs from the episode as it's happening). So when I saw that spot, me and my brother both screamed our minds out! I'm actually enjoying Lucha Underground more than NXT most weeks and this past week was no exception.
Solid main event on this week's show. It was interesting seeing Puma as the bigger guy in a match and doing a lot more power moves instead of his usual flying stuff.
But I think my favorite part of the LU shows is Vampiro's irrational hatred of Konnan. It's hilarious how he works it into his commentary for matches that having nothing to do with Konnan whatsoever.
Do they film both an English and Spanish version of the show? Had this recording on my DVR for weeks, but finally checked it out the other day only to find a Spanish speaking Vampiro. zwwI6aA

Yeah, I've been watching it on a univision channel for the past month. All in standard def & en español. I have no idea what anyone is saying or what's happening in the storylines, but it's still enjoyable. I love how all the backstage stuff is shot like a telenovela.

I'd much rather watch it in Spanish. Lucha feels more lucha-y that way, if that makes sense, and it helps keep my Spanish from disappearing entirely from my brain. And Striker and Vampiro are traaaaash.
Striker is borderline unbearable (and always has been), but Vampiro's alright by me. I like that he often takes a more low-key, unobtrusive approach to color commentary. Too bad Striker counteracts that with his verbal diarrhea.

I'm not Striker's biggest fan, but I've never hated him. Annoying though? At times, yes absolutely.
I enjoyed this week's show. I've always enjoyed seeing Jack Evans wrestle, and this week's match against Argenis was pretty good but also a bit rough at times. I don't know if they've faced off against each other before, but it totally seemed like this is their first encounter against each other with moves being off and slowing down at times to figure out who wanted to do what next. I was surprised that Angelico, Ivelisse and Son of Havoc retained the trios titles. I don't know how long Ivelisse will take to recover, but I don't know how long they can keep having them win like this. It's entertaining that's for sure but booking their matches like this is going to wear out sooner rather than later. The submission match was pretty good. Pentagon Jr is freaking awesome. Aside from Mil Muertes, he's one of the best rudos on the LU roster. It was nice to see him get a win! I can't remember the last time he actually won a match! They also did a good job building a match against Vampiro (I kinda dug him smashing his head against the mirror).
After weeks of being behind and avoiding this thread, I'm finally caught up. Lucha Underground is really the most entertaining hour of wrestling I've seen in a while. It's not just that the wrestling is good but it's the first time in a long time that I'm genuinely invested for the characters on the show and genuinely care about what happens to them. Pentagon Jr is indeed awesome. Fenix and him are the two best guys they got I reckon. I loved Jack Evans leaving the guy hanging for his entrance. I agree with you on the trios titles, although if them having the trios titles means Angelico gets to do more crazy hail mary dives then I'm for it.

Myself and my brother feel the same way about caring for the characters involved. They really do a fantastic job with the backstage segments, something that other companies should take notes on.
We should have a daily poll anytime the Trios titles are on the line in which we ask: Where will Angelico dive from next? Space? The rafters?
At some point, he's gonna dive from one of those locations. It's not a matter of if but when.
