I think it's gonna be a fun Rumble. Regardless of the outcome, the fact that for the first time in years the Royal Rumble will actually dictate what happens at Wrestlemania is enough for me to be excited to watch how it all happens. Isn't that every year? I don't believe so because the last couple of WM main events have had their big matches either announced well ahead of time or it's been more so pre-planned out that even fans can figure out what is gonna happen (even more than usual) than in past years and I'm not just talking about internet fans.

You know, it largely went the way I saw it going, but I enjoyed the Rumble. It was definitely the best one since 2011. I would've like a few more surprises, but I of course marked hard for AJ.

Honestly I enjoyed the Rumble. Dean vs Owens was great as expected, I enjoyed New Day vs Usos and Becky vs Charlotte. And was pleasantly surprised with Kallisto winning. The Rumble match itself was good too. Marked for AJ, loved that Owens eliminated him and loved the Sami/Owens interaction. Im fine with HHH winning, saw it coming, and it makes sense story line wise. Lets see where this takes us.

I don't think it was one of the best Rumble. But I would definitely tell it was better than the last two.

Fun Rumble. Didn't care for HHH winning, but whatever. I didn't know how I'd feel about AJ coming out, but it was fuckin' cool & weird & I loved it.

There's something weird about hearing Michael Cole say the name AJ Styles. It just hits my ear wrong.
But yeah, it was a fun Rumble for about 45 minutes, then it got down to all the boring predictable stuff and I stopped caring.
I know it "makes sense" for the storyline, but HHH being champion in 2016 still kind of makes me want to eat a bullet. Or at least send a harshly worded letter to WWE headquarters.
And are they seriously building to a Lesnar/Wyatt match now? Could there be a bigger waste of Brock Lesnar's talents than that?
That Ambrose/Owens match, though. That was special.

My, my... that Rumble was fun. Up until the end that is. I think it was a success because even us silly MVZoners were rooting for Ambrose those last minutes. AJ debuting was bananas, and to this moment it still seems kinda weird for me. The coolest kind of weird.
Some random thoughts / predictions.
- It seems we're getting Bork vs. probably Strowman at Fastlane, to set up for Lesnar vs. Wyatt at Mania. - We're also probably getting Styles vs. Breeze as his first feud, so he can look good and prepare for probably MITB at Mania. Unless the rest of Bullet Club debuts, and we get Bullet Club vs. New Day. It feels weird writing that. Feels like booking in a videogame or something. - Also, it'll be a huge mistake if they don't save Owens vs. Zayn for WM. - Triple H vs. Reigns is pretty much a lock... does that leave us with Sheamus vs. Taker? Something like that? Sigh...

Dean Ambrose got put over tremendously.. winning a killer last man standing match and lasting until the end of the rumble. Mad stuff right there for an IC champ.
Great rumble overall. Triple H winning isn't that bad considering the fact that he can still go in the ring and he's somewhat of a big name for Mania. Obviously AJ Styles' debut was a success if you listened to those crowd reactions and the same goes for Sami Zayn. I even enjoyed the women segment with Sasha coming back and making a statement.
This totally made up for the 2 bad rumbles we got previously.

You know what's weird? Nobody pointed to the wm sign during the rumble. Not once. John Cena must be so disappointed.

Really enjoyed this Rumble TBH Owens Ambrose was phenomenal, great end to the rivalry and by having the IC title in a l=Last Man Standing match made the title feel just that much more important but also proved that these to will fit perfectly in the main event scene. Tag match was decent, I wonder who New Day will feud with now since they beat the Uso's. Becky vs Charlotte was good, glad to see Sasha get involved now. Kalisto vs Del Rio was ok. Rumble match was the best I have seen in the last couple of years. Booking seemed pretty smart and Ambrose looked really strong in the PPV, I almost thought he would win. AJ coming out had me so freaking happy and it was smart of WWE to have Owens eliminate him, maybe sparking a feud and Zayn coming out was a pleasant surprise as well. HHH winning didn't bother me as much as I thought it would but it does make sense. Really Good PPV overall.

Was it really that smart to book Dean Ambrose in a main event that he won't win.. in his hometown for fastlane?
