I love how when CM Punk left he trashed the shit out of the WWE and people gave him flack for it and slowly but surely it is coming to fruition. God WWE seems so petty.

So they send out AJ styles to try and put over Reigns last night .... c'mon WWE. Just turn him heel. He's a Batista.

so, the brand split is coming back this July. My guess is that they are gonna have Cena on Smackdown and Reigns on Raw which will essentially lead to Smackdown burying Raw in a matter of minutes.

This is awesome as long as they split the belts so the world champ can show up the wwe champ.

Ugh, I stopped watching SmackDown a long time ago & it's hard enough getting through an episode of RAW even when I fast forward through most of it. How many bankable stars do they even have that can prop up 2 separate brands? Maybe 2 or 3? The original brand extension worked cause they had a ton of huge names like Rock, Stone Cold, Taker, Hogan, & Angle. And they did a decent job of building up the next tier of guys. But seeing as they don't even have the power to make an episode of RAW entertaining start to finish, they're going to spread themselves even thinner with this. The only good I see coming of this is it means they'll be calling up more NXT guys.

The only good I see coming of this is it means they'll be calling up more NXT guys. I could actually see this working out. First of all, Smackdown's only gonna be 2 hours, which is perfect for people who've been complaining about the 3 hour Raws for the past few years. Second of all, you already mentioned it, more NXT call ups. Most of them have been successful on the main roster, yet it apparently pissed some of the already established wrestlers off, as the NXT guys took their spot on the card, like Rhodes for example. Obviously they won't be as strict as they used to be back then (with more crossover talents working on both shows) but it gives them more space to book people and give more people a shot. It all depends on how hard the Smackdown guys will work, in order to make this success again. Also interested to see if there's gonna be a secondary world title again or if they're gonna do it like Bryan always wanted it and have the IC or US title be their main prize. on a side note, it would also be sweet if they let Heyman run this thing again, but that probably won't happen.

More notes about the brand split:
Smackdown will air live in UK as well - The Women's Division will be on one show (Alvarez). Speculation is Smackdown. - There will be a draft, most likely the July 11 RAW. (Alvarez) - A lot of NXT wrestlers will be called up (Alvarez) - Each brand will have a champion (Alvarez) - Vince is said to be "really pumped up and full of ideas" and going on a very aggressive talent signing spree. (Meltzer) - Only one Tag Team Title. (Alvarez) - No word on brand specific PPVs - Meltzer is estimating RAW will have a roster reduction of around 40% - half, then made up by talent called up from NXT/new signings.
