Curious on ways others would go about ending something that didn't go the way you wanted example being the wrestler your covering lost a match at the end he/she should have won.

Replace Poochie with the wrestler that should of lost. Show the wrestler that should have won celebrating. When asked what happened at the end of the video, explain nothing.

I think the only thing you can really do is plan accordingly. Make sure the song you pick ends on a down note. And focus on shots of your guy looking disappointed, instead of shots of the other guy celebrating. That at least would convey the idea that you consider it an unhappy ending.
Or, if you want an upbeat ending you could end the match/feud part of the video early. And include another section of your hero just kicking more ass and having great matches. The sends the message of "yeah, he lost, but he's not broken" or something to that effect.

Thanks a lot that's way better than the stuff I had thought of was pretty much at either a to be continued type ending or some kinda message added to the title like SWL's AJ Styles Unexpected Visitor mv

You could also cheat and somehow make it look like the ending you want.
