I'm back after another "not wanting to get spoilered" hiatus. Glad to see most people made the jump.

I found that Coco piece earlier and immediately made it my Facebook photo. I'm totally with Coco, no matter what.

I've read Gran Morrison's "We3" for the first time. I want to hug a dog right now. It's a story about the military turning ordinary pets into weapons of destruction. However, the animals excape and try to find a way home. It's like a bloody, depressing, action-filled "Homeward Bound". If you can find a way to read this, do so now. Apparently, there is a CG movie being made from the guy who directed "Kung-Fu Panda". I wonder how audiences would take a movie all CG about pets being used for war. I would see it though.

I haven't read that, but am reading an interview with the artist, and have been meaning to check it out.

If anyone was watching Genesis... did ODB pop her implant? The stream I'm watching is fuzzy as hell, and I couldn't tell what the hell happened.

Incredible. I know that CZWFans.com isn't exactly the cream of the crop, but this thread is just astounding. The argument, which has a distressing amount of supporters, is that America's biggest problem is that we spend money on other countries when we have enough problems as it is. They are, of course, referring to Haiti - suggesting that (here's a real quote): "No, America where theres homeless people in your own country so take care of them first." I know the argument is paved with good intentions, but is there a finer example of American arrogance? "No fuckin shit pisses me the fuck off, build a fuckin wall around the border with a huge middle finger painted on it, guarenteed rest of the world implodes in a year. Fuckin leeches" I'm assuming that the thread starter is just fucking around, but it appears that several who have replied are completely serious.

Some guy wrote an article saying the same on Friday, but being all "DON'T GIVE HAITI A PENNY!" Roger Ebert pretty much full-out insulted him. I was assuming you heard, considering you're huge film person, and all.

I think the "some guy" you're referring to is the one and only Rush Limbaugh. He didn't say not to give money, but that Barack Obama is attempting to benefit from Haiti donors. His assumption is that, since there's a "Donate" link on the White House webpage, it will add all donors to an Obama propaganda mailing list, or something of the sort. Who fucking knows, the guy's a lunatic. People who listen to him are even more frightening (sadly, I know my parents have). Here's the transcription from the radio show -
--
Justin of Raleigh, North Carolina: "Why does Obama say if you want to donate some money, you could go to whitehouse.gov to direct you how to do so? If I wanted to donate to the Red Cross, why do I have to go to the White House page to donate?"
Limbaugh: "Exactly. Would you trust the money's gonna go to Haiti?"
Justin: "No."
Rush: "But would you trust that your name's gonna end up on a mailing list for the Obama people to start asking you for campaign donations for him and other causes?"
Justin: "Absolutely!"
Limbaugh: "Absolutely!
