Ben Affleck as Batman... DISCUSS! I'd rather not. C'mon! You know you want to!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer looks...alright? Doc Ock's tentacles cameo was probably the most interesting part about it. Next year we'll have four..FOUR Marvel comic books being churned out on the big screen. I can feel the superhero fatigue coming already. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them, but they can't last forever right? How long do you guys think we have before the superhero fad ends? 5-10 years? Is it a fad?

I was disappointed with the first ASM & this next one looks like Spider-Man 3 all over again.
As for comic book movies being a fad, no way. We've had some pretty terrible comic book movies throughout the years & the genre is only getting stronger. Comic book movies are the highest grossing films every year. Sure, I can see some people getting superhero fatigue, but for every one of them, there's a thousand others who are anxiously awaiting the next spandex clad blockbuster.
With X-Men: Days of Future Past, Avengers: Age of Ultron, & Batman vs Superman all coming down the pipe, it's pretty hard for me not to be excited about the future of the comic book movie genre.

I too am sick of the genre. I don't even get excited for the movies anymore, and the only one I am looking forward to is Days of Future Past. I have high hopes for that movie, the cast is one of the best I have seen in a long time.

I think after Avengers 3 people will start dwindling down. I'll be surprised if they can maintain these numbers going into Avengers 3 actually. Still enjoy them, but I don't have faith in them lasting 10 years from now.

You guys aren't gonna like this then... Sony announced yesterday that they'll be expanding their Spider-Man cinematic universe with stand alone Venom & Sinister Six movies.

From the comment section of imgur... DC: "Wonder Woman is a difficult character to work out on the big screen." Marvel: "Our next movie has a talking raccoon."

Guardians trailer tonight on Kimmel! Can't remember the last time I was excited for a trailer, but man, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.

Guardians looks aestheticly different from what we've been getting out of the recent slew of comic book movies, and I'm really excited for that. Really heavy on the humor though, moreso than what Marvel usually does but I'm fine with it. I read somewhere that Guardians looks like an old school Sci fi movie and I couldn't agree more.

Trailer for those that haven't seen it. After watching this I just realized John C. Reilly is in the Nova Corps, which means that maybe we get Richard Rider as Nova Prime somewhere down the line? Stand alone movie?
I loved the trailer, can't wait for this to come out. From the looks of the trailer it looks like they're including The Collector into this which means they're straying away from the comics which I'm cool with.
Also, I wanted an "I am Groot" dammit!
