Yeah. Definitely sounds like Arlington Road. I felt bad for the guy at the end D:

Yeah, it was Arlington Road thanks. The ending was pretty surprising to me, how they blamed everything on him.

I just saw HappyThankYouMorePlease, and I enjoyed it. The plot is very cliche, and for awhile I thought it was just going to be Josh's version of Big Daddy. I enjoyed the characters, and the acting was pretty strong through the film. Not really a movie you should spend a lot of money on, but it was enjoyable.

To those who enjoy the Friday the 13th franchise, like myself, you were pretty disappointed to hear that Paramount cancelled production for the sequel of the 2009 reboot a year ago (I would like to add that while it wasn't the best Friday movie, it was actually good enough to warrant a sequel.)
The only news I heard about the sequel in the past year or so was that it was going to have Tim Sylvia as Jason. Then this little tidbit of news came out courtesy of fridaythe13thfilms.com:
Well. He's been to space, so you might as well cross this off the list of things Jason hasn't been in yet.

It looks like I'll be going to my first 35mm film screening this Sunday in LA. New Beverly Cinema's showing The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T and Kwaidan in a double-feature. Has anyone here seen either film before? My other option would be a White Heat/Throne of Blood double feature.

I've seen all four of those films, and, all things being equal, "White Heat" and "Throne of Blood" would be the way I'd go (they are the two best films of those four), but the chance to see "Kwaidan" in all it's glory on the big screen is something I wouldn't pass up. Tough call, you really can't go wrong either way.

You've seen plenty of 35mm films in the theater. That was the standard for multiplexes until only recently.
White Heat and Throne of Blood are two of the best movies ever made. Go to both.

It's only $8 to get into each double feature, so I'll try for both nights.

Today my English class read an article on Throne of Blood. I immediately thought of this conversation.

Well. American Psycho is getting remade. Small budget & modern-day setting.

I've been trying to understand cinema on a more technical and artistic level like AD and Her69Eyes. I came across this YouTube page and it's basically like a free film school education. Currently watching this and it's opening my eyes up quite a bit...

This one is also pretty great - deconstructing Michael Bay.
