So, where does everyone think James is going to end up?
I'm gonna just throw out guess as to where some of the FA might end up.
LeBron James - Chicago Bulls - Out of all the teams that are currently bidding for James, the Bulls seem the most complete team that can contend right away. I really doubt he's going back to Cleveland. They don't have the players in place for James to keep them contending for championships. Plus, it doesn't seem like anyone on that team want the ball when it matters most, leaving it to James to win all of they're clinching games. Sure that's what a superstar is suppose to do, but he can't do it alone.
Dwayne Wade - Miami Heat - He isn't going anywhere. In fact, I think he'll bring in another big free agent and a role player with him back to Miami.
Chris Bosh - Chicago Bulls - He's been tied at the hip with James in alot of talks I've been hearing recently. Many people thought he, Wade & James would be on the same team. But, with that many stars on one team, it could disrupt chemistry and will probably fail more so than with a team that's evenly rounded. Plus, the max contracts they would all be getting would be out of the question for every team looking to shake up they're roster.
Dirk Nowitzki - Dallas Mavericks - He's going to end his career in Dallas. But, they need to make some moves and fast. I thought this would be the year that they finally win one, but it ended so abruptly. They already locked down Jason Kidd & Shawn Marion, so I'm sure Mark Cuban is looking to do the same with Dirk.
Joe Johnson - New York Knicks - Johnson is a good player, but not someone who is in dire need. I pick the Knicks because....well...they need someone. They're probably not going to get any one of the big FA, might as well stock up on good players.
Amare Stoudemire - Houston Rockets - They almost got him earlier this year before the trade deadline passed, but ran out of time. I think they get him this time around.
Carlos Boozer - Miami Heat - The Heat need a big guy in the paint, and I think the only guys they got locked down on the roster is Beasley & another guy I can't think of his name at the moment.
Paul Pierce - Boston Celtics - I don't see him leaving Boston. Apparently, he opted out of his contract because he didn't like the last round of negotiations went down. So, he is legitimately on the market. I see Boston caving in though, especially since Doc Rivers is coming back to coach the team next season. If all else fails, maybe the Nets?
Ray Allen - Chicago Bulls - He's 34 years old. He won't be a starter, especially since his game has been declining since the Celtics championship season in 2007. Despite that, if he comes off the bench, he'll score. Alot.

Barely getting into basketball, but I think Bron's staying in Cleveland. Just being all dramatic with his free agency.

It's like, dude just say where you're going and end this hoopla and let the other teams who aren't getting you get what they need. The problem with him staying in Cleveland is that they didn't make any moves at all to entice him to stay other than him being the home town guy. I think Kevin Durant will end up with more titles than LeBron though.

I agree. If he had a championship already, then it would make a little sense.
Is it for sure that Miami keeps D-Wade and is getting Bosh? I remember hearing them, along with Lebron, wanting to team up together.
And I'd love to see Durant win more. Along with the Bulls, the Thunder was the other team I tried to follow.

I remember hearing them, along with Lebron, wanting to team up together. And I'd love to see Durant win more. Along with the Bulls, the Thunder was the other team I tried to follow. They had 8 years to build a team around James, and made no attempt to do so within those years. It's really on the Cavs management and owner because they let this happen. Sources close to LeBron said that he wanted to stay in Cleveland, but didn't want to sign a six-year deal there and ending up "31 years old, with bad knees and no title". Like you said Rev, if he had one or more titles already, who knows if we would even be having this discussion. Wade & Bosh have both committed to Miami. That was the first talk when FA started, all 3 teaming together on the same team. Apparently during the 2008 Summer Olympics, Bosh, Wade, James & Chris Paul made a pact to play on the same team someday. I didn't read or hear of that rumor, and if I did, I would have just dismissed it at that time and say it was something that was a emotional moment for all of them. Fast forward two years and here we are. Paul won't be able to get out of his contract until 2012 at the earliest. They're was discussions of New Orleans trading him, but that didn't amount to anything. I feel the same way about Chicago & OKC. I think they've gone through hell to get where they are, but it shows how much both teams have grown within the past 7 or more years. Both teams benefited from the draft and just trying different schemes and find what works and go with it. I hope both teams elevate they're games for years to come, because now they got the talent to really make a run at a championship.

When Wade and Bosh agreed to stay in Miami, people around my college were glued to the TVs as if the President was talking. There is a LOT of buzz down here as a potential Lebron winner, but we may be the only city that if we don't get Lebron will go "At least we got Bosh and Wade, and we really only wanted Wade this whole time".

From the Facebooks and Twitters of my friends in Miami.
LeBron for Miami.....So LeBron and Wade.....HOLY FUCK!!
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!
DEAL WITH IT WORLD!
From my non-Miami friends:
THE HEAT?! THE FUCKING HEAT?!
NATIONALLY TELEVISED CROTCH PUNCH.
I'm not even from Cleveland and I'm depressed as fuck right now. This is basically the best player in b-ball saying "I don't want a legacy."
I love living in MIami right now.

Thanks Rev. I originally had him going to the Bulls, along with Bosh. As soon as I knew that wasn't going to happen, I threw all my chips into Miami. Plus, I got ESPN Insider so I should make some good...guesses on these type of situations. ;D Has anyone read the statement the owner of the Cavs released to the public? If not, here it is. It's GOLD:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING' WINS ONE" Hmm... I admire this guy's commitment, but I don't know about that.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING' WINS ONE" Hmm... I admire this guy's commitment, but I don't know about that. Some people didn't believe he actually posted the letter on the Cavs website. To the point where they had to get confirmation from the team to make sure it was legit. It was. I think it was wrong for James to have this go to the point where it ended up going. He just should have cut ties from the team as soon as he knew he was leaving. I'm sure he knew about it maybe a couple of days after FA started. I don't think it was something that he woke up that morning and made the decision right then and there. But, for the Owner to throw someone under the bus after he brought them so much money and fans for the past 7 years, I think that's jacked up. If that's the way he is with the team, I don't blame LeBron for leaving. I wouldn't want to play for an owner who can blow up for things that he had control over and could have contained, but didn't. OK. Now that the NBA Free Agency is pretty much over we can get back to the most important topic of the summer: FAVRE WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that letter means shit. Though he shouts betrayal and narcissism, Dan Gilbert's just angry that his biggest source of revenue is gone.
Hooray for the shift back to football! Favre Watch is almost just as bad as Lebron Watch, except I could care less about his decision.
What team you guys rooting for? I see my Chargers going very far in the playoffs. Our running game has improved greatly with the addition of Ryan Mathews, and if Shawne Merriman can finally return to his old self, our defense would be as dominant as it was a few years back.

As a Miami person I always want to say Dolphins, but I'm not 100% sold on Brandon Marshall being a level citizen, although he will be one hell of a Fantasy pick.
I actually think if FAVRE FAVRE FAVRE comes back, Minnesota is the team to beat, since other than drop-the-ball Peterson, they seem the most complete team to me.

But as an owner, you gotta try and keep your emotions under control. Even though the home town guy is gone, you don't go on a tirade like that and expect sympathy from anyone. That's what I think. I'm surprised I haven't seen anything Favre related on ESPN for this long...now that I said that we're going to get a month and a half of Favre coverage with an answer that is obvious to everyone BUT Favre. I live very close to Fresno State, but never got to see Mattews play. Which totally sucks but, to be honest, I'm not a Fresno State fan. Sounds bad since I grow up in a climate where everyone here roots for them, but they're biggest problem is having everyone's hopes up and lose to some big college teams by 3 points and play the cinderella card to a T. But then they lose to Louisiana Tech, a team they should flat out beat. You can play the underdog so many times before it starts to get old. It got old 4 years ago. I'll be rooting for Mattews though, he seems like he's got his head on straight and looks like a hard worker. I don't root for any team in particular, but if I had to choose: Green Bay. All they really needed was a line to protect Rodgers and BOOM they're in the playoff hunt. I think they have all the mechanics in place to really make a run to the super bowl. I completely forgot Marshall was in Miami. He better be at his best at all times, because "The Tuna" isn't very kind to lazy WRs. Minnesota drafted Toby Gerhart to help carry the load at RB for Peterson so he doesn't fumble as much. It astonishes me how much that guy fumbles for all the things he does right. But, everyone has a fault.
