Eh 2/10 on those tweets. -- Those 2 fights were FUCKING mind blowing. Diaz rocking the shit out of Conor and choking him out was so crazy to see. WOW.
Props to both guys for stepping up tho, Conor was very humble in defeat and didn't make any excuses and wasn't a sore loser *cough* ronda *cough*. Still love the guy, love Diaz too, Nate rose his stock up tonight, he's no longer Nicks brother.

Conor losing that fight doesn't mean much. He had no business at 170, but even so he should have won the fight but he fought with his ego. Standing in front of Nate with his hands down the majority of the fight was trash. He wins this fight easily if he uses his brain.
At end of the day, Conor is one of my favorites, but that doesnt mean I can't have a realistic and balanced opinion on Conor and his skills. I was confident that Mendes would beat him, I gave him a 50/50 shot against Aldo, but it is what it is. As a shameless fanboy hopefully he can still defend his 145 lb belt and work his way back into discussion for a shot at the LW belt as well eventually. I still wouldn't put it past the guy as long as he learns from the Nate fight. I still think he has the ability.

This is why I love Conor though:
"I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed. I will never apologize for taking a shot. Shit happens. I'll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it. I will not change who I am. If another champion goes up 2 weights let me know. If your tired of me talking money, take a nap. I'll still be here when you wake up with the highest PPV and the gate. Still talking multi 7's. Thank you to the true support and fuck the hate that came out of the woodwork. I love it all. Its still steak for breakfast. I've been here many times in my life in some form or another. I'll eat it all and come back stronger. Aldo you are a pussy. Dos anjos you are a pussy. When the history books are written, I showed up. You showed up on Twitter. To the fans! Never ever shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on. Nate I will see you again."

Miesha vs. Holly was clearly fight of the night. What a great show of heart from Holly and a huge win for Miesha. There goes that porn career... For now.
And Nate vs. Conor was pretty much a battle of pressuring. Nate has always been a pressure boxer with a killer ground game who grows more comfortable as the fight goes by. His bout with Michael Johnson is a testament to this. He's patient and he picked his shots carefully, to slowly frustrate Michael and drag him into his game.
Conor is also a pressure fighter, with deadly striking, but his tank usually depletes as the fight progresses. The biggest downfall from him was his own pressure though. Like Logic said, he fought with his ego and tried to make good with his predictions. You could see him loading every left he threw, and by the end of the first he was swinging wild for that left hook and looking desperately for the left uppercut as well. That, and the weight had to take a big impact on his conditioning. What struck me as a really bad thing is he gave up pretty soon. I mean, his tank was empty by the time he attempted that sloppy takedown, but he stopped struggling and gave his back without much effort. Gives me the impression that Conor isn't comfortable with getting hit much. And tapped hella quick...
Conor deserves much respect for taking the opponent and division change, and for staying in the fight instead of pulling out, but let's not forget he would've gone against his own words if he didn't. He pretty much brought all the pressure on himself, and it cost him bad. Respect is due, but one has to wonder what would've happened if he didn't talk all that shit, and fought more relaxed and more true to his ability.
That said, Nate had 10 days to get ready, was a big underdog, got lit up in the first, and showed tremendous heart and a great grasp of confidence in his game plan. That's a true fighter right there, stayed in the fight, picked his shots and went for the finish when he smelled blood. Nate definitely was the underdog and was at a big disadvantage, regardless of the slight size and reach difference.
In some other thoughts, Brandon Thatch should really get cut. He's got nothing to offer, and he has the worst ground game of the entire division. Good for Bahadurzada, great win, but Thatch poses no threat whatsoever. Great seeing Erick Silva getting KTFO after being a jackass.
