Did anyone else see Soto vs Warren on Bellator last night? Soto clowned Warren Diaz Bros. style for the entire first round, Warren comes out & clips Soto at the start of round 2, then KO's him with a knee to head/left hook combo. It was crazy.
I wanna see Jose Aldo murder Joe Warren.

Fight Night was awesome. Cole Miller looked great derailing Ross Pearson's hype train, which surprised me since I thought it would be a wrestler who'd give Pearson trouble in the UFC. How about that Oliveira kid? He picked Efrain apart. And that standing RNC was slick... I'm surprised Efrain didn't try to slam his way out of it. Can't wait to see how Charles handles the big wrestlers at 155. LoL @ Palhares letting his guard down to accuse Marquardt of greasing. I can't wait for UFC 119 next weekend. That card looks f'n sick. Strikeforce has signed Paul Daley. |

Damn, I really wanted to see a healthy Anderson Silva kill Chael Sonnen. Oh well, this just makes Anderson's performance that much more impressive considering he was fighting with an injured rib against a doped up wrestler. I can't wait to hear Chael try to talk his way out of this.  |

He's not, but everyone wants to see Anderson fight a dangerous striker. Edit: Sherdog is now confirming that Vitor will fight Anderson in early 2011. |

Efrain Escudero is GONE from UFC... I mean, yeah I cheered at the way he lost his last fight, but he's a hell of a fighter with hell of an attitude. This leaves my country with no more than Cain Velasquez.

I enjoyed tonight's show... up until the second round of Bader/lil Nog.
Meathead/Mexicutioner was a nice slug-fest.
Dollaway/Doerksen was an entertaining scramble-fest. CB absolutely refused to let go of that guillotine.
Mark Hunt get's caught in a straight armbar from top. Geez, I haven't seen that happen since last year... when Mousasi did it to him. *shakes head* Hope you enjoyed your contractually obligated fight, Mark.
Guillard/Stephens was decent. I thought Stephens won, but it wasn't a complete robbery like the next fight...
EVAN DUNHAM GOT ROBBBED!!! AND I GOT ROBBED OF SEEING DUNHAM'S MISCHIEVOUS ELF VICTORY DANCE!!! He lost the first round, then went on to whoop Sherk's candy ass in the second & third. Fuck the judges!
Lytle/Serra was good & Lytle looked great dominating the fight.
Bader's ground'n'pound looked excellent in the first round, bouncing lil Nog's head off the canvas, but rounds 2 & 3 were lackluster.
Mir/Cro Cop was a fuckin' snoozefest for 14 minutes. Leading into tonights card, I got the impression that Mirko had no interest in the fight at all. He proved me right. With the exception of stuffing Mir's takedowns attempts, he did nothing. Same with Mir. He just held Mirko against the cage & got lucky to catch him daydreaming with a minute left.

The Mir/Cro Cop fight would have been a helluva lot more entertaining if they were mic'd. According to Mirko, this is the verbal exchange they had in the third round... Cro Cop: Let me go, let's go to the center and fight. Mir: Let's go to the mat. Cro Cop: OK — if I'm on top. Mir: We'll stay in the clinch. |
