CARLOS MOTHER FUCKING CONDIT!!! He did to Dan Hardy in 1 round what GSP couldn't in 5. I've been riding Condit's war wagon since he debuted in WEC... I flipped out when he put Hardy to sleep! He wants the winner of Shields/Kampmann (both have decision victories over him). Shields is probably getting the next title shot if he wins, so hopefully Carlos will get a chance to avenge his loss to Kampmann.
Bisping looked good, but he still hasn't shown me anything that would make me think he can hang with the top of the middleweight division. Atleast he was able to keep the night from being a complete train wreck for British MMA.

Why do Goldie and Rogan rave about Akiyama and his cardio when the first thing that goes in his fight is his cardio! I read on MMAFighting.com that Akiyama inferred that Bisping was "greased" but didn't want to call the kettle black since he was accused of the same thing in his career. Is anyone else not so pumped for 121? I mean, I am going to get the show because the card looks great and will probably be the last good pay per view of this year but I'm not really feeling the show or excitement. I mean the Brock/Cain fight is a big deal, but as Random and I were discussing it doesn't have the big match feel like Carwin/Brock or Mir/Brock. Maybe it's because I haven't seen Cain fight alot. I hope Hamill beats Tito out of MMA completely, Tito talks a ton of crap for a guy that hasn't won a fight in years. I also completely forgot that Shields and Kampmann were on the card as well. I think Sexyama has some weird cardio... he clearly gasses out, but is still able to wing punches & because he's got a granite chin, he's able to keep from getting KO'd. Usually when guys start gassing, they drop like flies. He's a solid gatekeeper who has exciting fights. I don't see how you can't be pumped for 121. Cain's a beast. He may not have Lesnar & Carwins size, but he's got slick hands, great wrestling, & great cardio. If he hurts Brock, he's probably not gonna gas himself out like Shane did. Brock's running the gauntlet right now... Carwin, Velasquez, dos Santos. All 3 are true top heavyweight contenders. Jake Shields makes his UFC debut. If he wins, he's next in line for GSP. Paulo Thiago vs Diego Sanchez should be a good scrap. Both guys are coming off losses & will be looking to reestablish themselves in the top tier of the welterweight division. Hamill is gonna smash Tito! That's worth the price of admission right there! Schaub vs Gonzaga is probably gonna end in a Knock Out. And you got prelims on Spike. Reminder: Eddie Alverez vs Roger Huerta in Bellator on FSN tonight! Should be a sick fight. Eddie is a top ranked lightweight & Roger always brings it... especially when he's defending the honor of a woman. |

Damn, Alverez fucked Huerta up tonight. Eddie looked amazing. If Bellator & Strikeforce can't come to an agreement for an Alverez/Melendez fight, both these guys needs to jump ship & sign with the UFC. Another reason to look foward to 121... Brock will be sporting his viking beard this weekend! |
