Hells YEAH! Cain Velasquez rules! You really wouldn't believe how fucking happy I am... so proud even though I'm just a fan... Man, that was a thing of beauty!

THE BEARD WAS BROCK'S DOWNFALL!!!
Nah, Brock just can't take a punch well. Cain looked great... totally unphased by Brock's opening "bull in a china shop" routine. Brock needs to work on his defensive wrestling & let his sparring partners hit him in practice, cause the way he reacts to getting punched is like a little kid being swarmed by bees.
Cain vs JDS is gonna be sick... I see Cain taking it.
Do you hear that? It's the sound of Jake Shields' immediate title shot circling the drain. I wanna say he should have to fight Fitch, but that fight might just put me into a coma.
Sanchez/Thiago was a great fight. I was rooting for Paulo in this one. Diego lost the first round, then turned it on big time in the second & third.
Hamill beat Tito, but he didn't smash him as much as I wanted him to. Time to hang 'em up, Tito.
Shaub looked good in the first two rounds against Gonzaga. The third was uneventful.
Haven't watched the prelims yet.

A "WTF?!" moment indeed. Taker seemed legitimately butthurt that Brock didn't stop & chit-chat.
"You wanna do it?"
I know Taker was sore at the way Brock left, but seriously, what the fuck?! It's been 6 years, get over it, Dead Man!

Quite the event. Brock was exposed tonight, Cain had the patience of a champion and Brock looked like the challenger going in recklessly. JDS and Cain will be great, did I hear February for this fight? Isn't that too soon?
Shields and Kampmann was pretty much what I expected. Boring. Did Shields add tattoos to make himself look more tough in the ufc? Or has he always had them? Maybe I didn't notice them because I can never watch more than 2 minutes of any of his fights.
Hamill winning made me happy, but like Vyper said it wasn't the butt-kicking I was hoping for. Tito was in great shape and looked great in the first 2 1/2 rounds but slowly faded away. At least he was out there trying to press the fight unlike his fight with Forrest. It would be a shame for him to go out on this kind of a performance. I don't like Tito, but I hope he gets one more.
Diego and Paulo was fight of the night for me, all around exciting and Diego's British Bulldog slam was just awesome, it wasn't the biggest slam I have ever seen but the way he was yelling made it.
Gonzaga and Schaub...bleh. This was almost as bad as Kampmann and Shields. Gonzaga was a human punching bag. I shouted for kicks and got nothing.

Phenomenal WEC card tonight! Damn I'm gonna miss these come 2011. Johnson vs Page was a great opener. "Mighty Mouse" looked sharp coming out of round 1 where he got slammed 3 times. Quick little fucker. Joseph Benavidez continues to be one of the most entertaining fighters going today. He came a little less wild & more focused, but still brought the excitement. Using his "Joe Jitsu" to submit a BJJ black belt. Koch looked good dispatching Rivera early with the Pettis-headkick. Cub Swanson vs Mackens Semerzier was spectacular! These two went all out for 15 minutes trading strikes & takedowns. Fight of the Year contender for sure. Mendes/Vazquez was the weakest fight of the night, but it was still fun. Mendes with a flipping guard pass & another flip with Vazquez on his back. Mendes looks better with each fight, but he still needs to work on his ground'n'pound & guard passing. Faber looked great in his bantamweight debut. He'll probably get hotshotted into a title match, but I'd love to finally see that Faber/Torres dream match first. It'd be the perfect way to introduce the casual UFC fan to the 135'ers. Just 1 more WEC left, & boy is it a doozy. Plus we've got UFC 122: Marquardt vs Okami for free this weekend & UFC 123: Rampage vs Machida next weekend.

Glad Okami won, Marquardt seemed off his game last nite.

Marquardt chokes in big fights. He's the middleweight Kenny Florian. Anderson is going to kill Okami.
I can't wait to see the feather/bantamweights in the UFC so they can plug up holes in weak shows like 122.
Siver lighting up & choking out Winner was nice though.

Lyoto was robbed. Rampage thought so too. Decent fight... had it's dull spots, but they brought the action when they had to. Hopefully we get an immediate rematch. Atleast Quinton looked interested in fighting this time around. I think Rampage won me back as a fan by admitting he got his ass kicked.
Penn destroys Hughes in 21 seconds. BJ might get Jon Fitch next... I hate BJ, but I hope he crushes Fitch's skull.
The less said about Falcao/Harris the better.
Phil Davis looked great putting away Tim Boetsch with an unorthodox kimura/hammerlock.
George Sotiropoulos drops the first round to Joe Lauzon, J-Lau gasses & gets kimura'd in the second. Looks like they wanna do Sotiropoulos vs Siver in a few months... should be awesome.
Karo looks awful in his UFC return, gets TKO'd, & then acts like a baby.
Edson Barbosa completely brutalized Mike Lullo's left leg. I can't wait to see more of this guy.
Paul Kelly/TJ O'Brien was good fight. Kelly overcomes the reach of O'Brien & finishes with a crucifix.
Brian Foster vs Matt Brown was an entertaining back & fourth battle.
Munoz/Simpson was fight of the night for me. Win or lose, these two always put it all on the line. Not even Mark Fennell's shit reffing could stop this from being an exciting slug/scramble-fest.
