So.
What does everybody think of Sony's next "next" generation console?

Ok, so no one has thoughts on it. Well, guess I should add my own.
I think Sony is going in the right direction with the PS4, because developers are actually wanting to develop for it right of the bat as oppose to the PS3 when it took forever for people to figure out how to port, or create, games for it.
The UI and every little thing that the PS3 lacks seems to be addressed with the PS4 which was obviously much needed.
The games looked great (obviously) but I was much more surprised that they had alot of games to show at a conference that I thought would just talk of jargon about what the console can do and all that tech stuff and maybe we get one game or tech demo but instead we got numerous games that were showcased...and jargon about the specs. But it was short so it wasn't bad.
In the end, I came away impressed that Sony had this conference in check and seemed to address the needs that they had to fulfill after this past generations missteps. I'm interested in seeing how Microsoft will have in store for us when they have their conference in April.

I'm not sure if I'll even join the next console generation. What with Microsoft shifting to casual gaming, motion controls, & entertainment apps... plus all the nasty trends that have plagued the gaming industry the last few years like on-disc DLC, overpriced DLC, micro-transactions, online passes, season passes, multiplayer being tacked on to every game, retailer specific pre-order incentives, etc.
And it's only going to get worse. Don't know if I can handle it.
