Not moving on... This article touches on the Fandango debate (among other topics including the Cena hate, the Ziggler love, and the growing disconnect between WWE and it's most loyal fans). The author comes down on the side of the irony argument, it seems, but whether you agree or not it's worth a read if you've got a few minutes.

They just super fucked up on RAW, showing The Shield hidden in a camera cut they shouldn't have shown. Funny shit.

They fucked up earlier by giving Fandango a microphone and letting him say more than just his name. That promo was so lifeless even Randy Orton could've livened it up.

They just super fucked up on RAW, showing The Shield hidden in a camera cut they shouldn't have shown. Funny shit. Meh, that was nothing. They fucked up earlier by giving Fandango a microphone and letting him say more than just his name. That promo was so lifeless even Randy Orton could've livened it up. This was glorious. "Oh oh oh! Over here! Look at our inexplicable social media fad! ...Uh oh, now what do we do with it? Have him do a bit with Uncle Jerry in front of a confused non-smark crowd!" They milked that shit dry in less than a week. The brits will try to revive it next week, but thankfully it'll be dead by the time they come back stateside. #flashinthepan

What Vyp said, plus talk about eating shit because it's different.
When Jerry Lawler becomes the best part about a segment on TV, you know something's really really wrong.
I hope Cesaro moves up the card instead of stay floating around the midcard. Kofi finally won the US Title he had been chasing so fiercely. Oh wait, he wasn't was he? It's just like it fell on his lap.

I hope Cesaro moves up the card instead of stay floating around the midcard. Kofi finally won the US Title he had been chasing so fiercely. Oh wait, he wasn't was he? It's just like it fell on his lap. This is my biggest gripe with current WWE booking practices. The way they consistently job out their midcard champions in order to justify return bouts for the title. It's impossible for anybody to maintain any upward momentum when they lose at least every other tv match they have. Cesaro holds the US Title for over 220 days, which is a borderline historic statistic in this era, but does he look like a dominant champion? No because he probably lost more matches than he won during his title reign. Meanwhile, on the same show IC champ Wade Barrett (who looked like a genuine main eventer while recapturing the belt last week) loses to R-Truth in a throwaway match doubtlessly to setup a future title match. And World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler (talk about looking like a main eventer last week) gets jobbed out to boring Jack Swagger in order to justify the triple threat with Del Rio. (And yes, sadly the World Championship is basically just another midcard title at this point.) What happened to good old fashioned number one contenders matches? If both guys come into a match off a big victory, and both guys look strong in the match, then the match means more, and both guys benefit in the long run. It's not rocket science, it's just common sense. Don't even get me started on these old farts on the creative team like Michael Hayes who constantly go on about how "these young wrestlers just don't know how to get themselves over any more," when they should be looking in the mirror and saying " we're preventing these young wrestlers from getting over with our lazy booking habits." You think Hayes and his Freebird buddies would've stayed in a territory very long if they got jobbed out on tv a week after winning the tag titles?

I see what you mean, and in that sense, while wrestling can't become something along the lines of MMA, it would sure be nice to see them stick through the end with their champions and their number one contenders. Champions have to look strong, and I agree they have to look vulnerable to make things interesting, but #1 contenders also have to look super strong. That doesn't mean they should be losing to one another in meaningless matches week after week. It means they should be winning against other people, while getting inside the head of their nemesis (so to speak).
I agree that WWE booking is at the bottom of the pecking order, man. They should look to PWG to get some tips on wise booking. Chikara and DGUSA, also.

Fandango is still awesome, and the dance is fun. WWE is just terrible at being relevant.
