On the whole, I didn't think it was one of the better 6-man tags that The Shield/Hell No + Partner have had recently (still good, though), but the finish was absolutely amazing! The fact that something significant (Shield's first loss as a team) actually happened on Smackdown was almost hard to process.
Actually Smackdown's been pretty great ever since they started structuring the show around Daniel Bryan and The Shield. Even the Sheamus segments have been halfway tolerable thanks to Damien Sandow carrying their verbal confrontations.

I only saw what they posted on Youtube but yeah that finish was incredible. I loved they referenced the previous spots that Shield does (like the spear through the barricade) and countered them. The finishing RKO was pretty great, one of the more memorable RKO's in recent memory. I also really liked the fact that Lillian announced that this was the first defeat in six man action for the Shield, made it seem as important as it should have been.

Payback was awesome... top to bottom (ok, maybe not Cena/Ryberg).

Man, what a difference a week makes. Last week D-Bry & the Shield were the only interesting thing going in WWE land, then they follow up last night's great Payback PPV with a great episode of RAW. Loved everything about the main event. Good match from Punk & ADR. Intense sneak attack from a fired up Ziggler. And I am beyond pumped for Punk vs Lesnar. Glad to see they held strong with the ADR heel turn. I was scared they were gonna ignore what happened at Payback & write it off as just the Chicago crowd being smarky. Mark Henry with the best swerve in recent memory. Sure as hell had me fooled. I was all ready to go on a rant about them overusing injury angles to the point I couldn't even tell if Daniel Bryan was really hurt tonight or not. But they nailed this one perfectly. Kudos to Henry for that marvelous performance. That's what he do! Bryan vs Orton was good until the stinger & even Daniel trying to power through it was pretty beast. When it happened, I thought it was just an angle they were using to turn Orton heel. Still seems like that was the direction they were going before the stinger. Thankfully it seems like Bryan's gonna be okay, cause that would've been a kick in the teeth if he had to take time off after the roll he's been on lately. Christian returning was a pleasant surprise. Hopefully he can stay healthy. So happy to see they're actually doing something with Cesaro. The way they killed his push before WrestleMania was a travesty. I like that they've paired him with Zeb & it gives Swagger something to do when he gets back. Don't care much for Swagger, but tagging or feuding with Cesaro could be nice. They set up a lot of cool things tonight & for the first time in a very long time, I'm actually excited for the WWE product. Now if HHH, Vince, & Steph would just fuck the hell off, things would be damn near perfect. Just a watermark.

Mark Henry had the performance of a century last night. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker and when the swerve happened I was legitimately surprised. Segment of the year.

Who do guys think is winning MitB this year? I'm going with someone from the Shield. Fits their gimmick and would be hell of a match. Make it six people and just book it like you would a 3 vs 3 ladder match with face team vs The Shield.

I agree with both of you.
Daniel Bryan wins the WWE Title MITB and cashes in for the SummerSlam main event with advanced notice. To prove once and for all that he's not the weak link.
The Shield wins the World Heavyweight Championship MITB with Freebird Rules. That way you don't know when they'll cash in, and you don't even know which one will be cashing it in. (Admittedly, this one is probably more of a fantasy booking scenario on my part.)

Both ideas sound great and would definitely make for entertaining TV. I don't think Shield is getting a briefcase though. Seems to me like the World Heavyweight title briefcase will go to Ziggler so that he can cash in on Del Rio as a face and win the title once more.
