Induction by Jordan (J-Roc) "October 20, 2008, Sleeping with the En-MV - seen the first encounter between myself and beej, ultimately leading to one of the most intriguing trilogies in MVZ history. Beej debuted just one year after me, and although not making a huge impact, he brought forth a PPV recap MV which planted the seeds for a legendary MV making career. While both of us slowly improved and eventually honed our skills, it was the Crowning our Champions (CoC) tournament to crown a new Generation Next champion that brought our paths together. Neither I, nor Beej were selected as starting participants in the tournament; however, as fate would have it we ended up meeting in the finals. We both brought the best out of each other and produced a match that was proclaimed by most to be one of the greatest matches in MVZ up to that date. Beej won a close, one vote victory with his instant classic “East to West” video highlighting Shawn Michaels’ character evolution. With the votes being so close, a rematch was inevitable and so the second encounter took place at the CoC 3 event in 2009. This time however beej would churn out another gem, “The Impossible Dream”, while I made a half-hearted attempt to claim the belt from him.
After the successful defense of his championship against me, beej was rightfully promoted to the highly touted “World Division”, where he was quickly thrust into the main event, challenging Awesome Dude for the vacated MVZ World Title at Merry Vidmas Bash 2009. Being the clear underdog, beej produced one of the best MV he’s ever made and undoubtedly one of the greatest MVs in MVZ history with the iconic Alfred Hitchcock inspired Vader tribute - “My Body is a Cage”. And so as Terry Funk did in ECW, winning the championship against all odds, beej also completed the impossible dream and defeated Awesome Dude to win the highly coveted MVZ World Championship. Beej would go on to further solidify his Hall of Fame career by joining forces with another legend, ltownbob and successfully winning the MVZ Tag Team Championships.
Also, not to be forgotten, beej spent time booking the MVZ and kept things running smoothly when leadership was needed in the MVZ booking committee. But as work and personal life became harder to juggle with making music videos, beej took a step back from the limelight and announced his retirement in February 2010. Beej would remain retired until I suggested a third match to finish our trilogy in style. Beej accepted the challenge and went on to defeat me once again in our final meeting.
From just another rookie, to a MVZ Hall of Famer, Beej will be remembered for years to come for his triumphant MV making career and will go down as one of the greatest the MVZone has ever seen. Although we were labeled as arch enemies throughout the years and had some unforgettable matches, I am proud to call BJ Smith a friend. With that said, I am honoured to induct beej into the MVZ Hall of Fame."

A very well written and very well deserved induction. Beej has done so much for the site and was even the one that got me involved here in the first place. Congrats buddy!

Congrats to the King of the Board on being the latest inductee! You certainly deserve the honor not only as an editor, but as a booker and head Admin. One of my favorite Beej videos here:

This really brought a smile to my face. Please excuse what will follow, as I'm sure it will be a typical beej long, rambling post, but it's not every day you get to wax poetic about your experiences and accomplishments. First off, big thank you to J-Roc for the beautiful write-up. That first match with J-Roc played a part in every subsequent opportunity I had thereafter. I feel like we were the Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar or MVZ. We made each other.
As corny as it may seem when put into perspective, all of these competitions and titles and everything really meant a lot to me in real life. For a long time, MVZ was the top priority in my life. I worked for hours everyday between booking, doing write-ups, loading videos on the server, helping others with their videos, and creating my own. I loved every second and was incredibly proud of what myself and the other editors at that time accomplished. In the short 18-20 months I was booking, I was honored to be apart of some of the following milestones for the site as a whole:
-booking legends like FunkyMonkey, Ryan React, PNB, Shocker, and SansJason in competitions after long absences. -LTown[beej], the Mayors of LTown. Though it only spawned one video, it was a partnership that was solidified with a mutual love of this community. -booking year-long programs. Though it was not noticeable to some, the two Vidmas main events I had my hand in were results of a year-long rivalry/storyline. Those being beej/Awesome Dude, and Revolution/Awesome Dude. (I didn't outright book the latter, but I spent most of that year pushing Revolution to the main event and pushing Awesome Dude as the uncrowned champion of MVZ. -Zone V and The Untitled Music Podcast. We had a lot of people rotate though these, but the kinship with Frank, Harry, and Tom was a really special thing to me. -Zone Radio 2.0. Need I say more? -booking the 8th Year Anniversary Show with Bob...still the greatest lineup in MVZ history! -the 2009 Generation Next Division. HJASkater, PureOxygen, Freddy, TigerKid, benpas, ddevil, ProFx Jr., peanut, FBM, and so many others. So much talent.
I could go on and on, but I'll try to wrap this up. I want to thank you all for the kind words and this honor, but most of all for the friendship over the years. Competing for fake titles translated to real life memories and friendships, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. I love you all. Lastly, I want to thank those who have continued on after me with the site. Rev, Maf, AD, and Zee have done a wonderful job. Treat your bookers well and never no show!
The King of the Board -B.J.
