Figured we'd have an official thread to talk about the best promotion in the last 5 years (heck maybe even longer than that).
Just watched the show from Korakuen Hall on 12-19 and really enjoyed the show. Did a great job building to the Tokyo Dome show in January. Main event between Jado, Gedo, Tomohiro Ishii, Kazuchika Okada and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Togi Makabe, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Kushida and Ryusuke Taguchi was fantastic. Each guy who has a match at Wrestle Kingdom had their own brief minutes against each other during this match which was really cool. I'd be more than happy to do more write ups for these shows and beyond now that I have NJPW World (which you can get for 999 yen).
The event overall was good, but seek out the main event if you're still getting into (or getting back into) New Japan. Well worth your time.

I look forward to joining in on the discussion when they debut on AXS TV in mid-January.

WresteKingdom 9 is going to be incredible. With JR handling the commentary duties, the product will be even that much more engaging.

I don't know if you all have seen this, but it's an amazing look at how special WK9 is going to be. Without exaggeration, I fully expect it to be one of the greatest pro wrestling shows of all time.

Is there an Engrish version of the NJPW streaming service? Cause yeah, that would stop me from getting it if I have to keep google translating it all the time.

Way overdue, this thread. The best promotion all year round. Wrestle Kingdom is gonna be bananas. We should do AIMVZ for that too!

Anyone watching Wrestle Kingdom live? Perks of working the night shift...I have it streaming on my work computer. Amazing show thus far! Looks like Okada and Tanahashi are going an hour!

I missed the first hour, which bums me out since the 4-way Jr. Tag title match with reDRagon & the Young Bucks happened during it. Everything I have seen has been solid, but I absolutely loved the Nakamura/Ibushi match. That was excellent. It's also great to hear JR call professional wrestling again. He was rusty, but still light years ahead of anyone on commentary today.

The tag match was a lot of fun. Bucks were up for a double doomsday device, got hit with it, flipped over, landed on their feet, and proceeded to super kick everyone.

Damn, that sounds like it was pretty awesome. If someone comes across the match on youtube or something, please post it.

Man, I'm still buzzing about this show! Meltzer and Alvarez put it over HUGE. So many great matches! Once NJPW get the English language interface up, I'm subscribing to World! With New Japan being on fire, so many quality indies, and Lucha Underground, it really feels like there's an upcoming shift in the pro wrestling world that will affect WWE should their quality continue to lack.
