Show of the year. Nothing is topping it I feel. I really hope their able to piece enough money together for a season 2. Also I hope it gets a bigger distribution network than El Rey (or Uni Mas for Spanish speakers) because more people need to be watching it.
But that whole thing about their booking being logical sort of went out the window with all that Vampiro/Pentagon stuff after the match. None of that made any logical sense, but I loved it anyway. The fan reaction shots were priceless.
-And on a related note, Pentagon Jr. is the Stone Cold Steve Austin of Lucha Underground. Meaning that, based on the way he's booked, he should be the most hated man in the company, but the fans just won't stop cheering him because he's such an awesome badass.I think (and I'm really going out on a limb) Pentagon knew he wanted Vampiro to be his mentor but had to goat him out of retirement, fight him and defeat him in order to prove to himself that he was ready to go after Mil Muertes. I'm more than positive that's the road we are going down if there is a season 2.

I wonder if that was their intent? He is a rudo through and through, but he is such an enigmatic character and great wrestler that no matter what you do with him he will always get cheered.
Needless to say, if you haven't seen this show you really need to go out of your way to watch it. If this is the end, they went out on the highest of high notes.
But that ending though....
I don't think your explanation makes sense. Pentagon talked to his master before and he wouldn't have acted shocked when Vampiro revealed himself if he already knew it was him. Whatever though because that angle ruled! Logic be damned the way they executed it was good enough for me to ignore that. That match was match of the night too. I'm not a fan of Striker but this was his best work calling a match too.
The ending left me with a big smile. I'm thinking this is their way of moving the show to another city?
More wrestling shows need to be like this.
