Cornette so desperately clings to the NWA-style of wrestling and completely eschews any different take on the art form. It's getting a little sad to see at this point.

Can Cornette also be in the temple when the nuclear bomb drops?
first time watching a full episode of LU and I really enjoyed it. They mastered something WWE rarely tries and that is making everyone look good in a match.

But he does know it's predetermined, right? I mean, he used to book those matches for fucks sake.
Also, it's not a real sport. It's entertainment. Pro Wrestling is NOT A SPORT!
Stupid Cornette. Why do they still let him write even?
Not the strongest episode of Lucha Underground this week. They're doing a great job of establishing Pentagon Jr. as an anti-hero as compared to the white bread baby face stylings of Prince Puma. The DAREWOLF~! is still as stupid as when he first came up with it when he left WWE. I really hope bringing indie guys like the DAREWOLF~! in doesn't become a trend as I think the Lucha Underground universe exists better with characters of it's own creation/lucha guys. What I'm saying is give me more Cobra Moon and less DAREWOLF~!. Also, the Vampiro thing was dealt with so great in the first episode that this just felt like a step back. I feel like it would be best if he just left during Pentagon matches or something. Also, Cage (the machine, not the man) looks even more jacked than he did in Season 1.

I agree 100%. I couldn't get into this episode like last week, but that was a steep order. Wasn't a fan of the Darewolf either, but it was cool seeing The Mack get the win on that one. I love your Vampiro idea of him leaving the commentating booth when Pentagon Jr. has a match. I also don't hope they start bringing in more WWE guys in, kills the uniqueness of what makes Lucha Underground different from the rest.
He can't be more jacked because he would explode if that was the case....they'll probably save that for Ultima Lucha or something.
Been a bit of a disappointing season thus far, but last week's episode felt like a return to form for the show. The three way main event was bananas and legit one of my favorite matches the show has had. The Drago/Aerostar team is fantastic and the nun-chuck fight scene was so ridiculous it was great. Bottles having no effect on Cage is cool and the no selling of the glass bottle to the face was badass.
Next week should be bonkers with the trios title match as well as Fenix vs Mil Muertes. After that we got Aztec Warfare II so yeah I'm glad this season is beginning to hit its stride.
This is the best episode of Lucha Underground by far. I can't remember the last time I was screaming for a main event. They told a great story and the guy people liked and were cheering for won! What a concept!
They also set up next week's episode perfectly. Aztec warfare is going to be nuckin Futs!
