Upset to hear of Trent Acid's passing. I had not followed his career since his brief singles ROH stint (king of the multiman), but he's a guy that i'll always have fond memories of.
In 2001 or 2002 (those dial-up AOL days), I was in an e-fed. The most talented writer of the bunch wrote as Trent Acid - he was the one contributor who was representing a wrestler that I hadn't heard of. Google searches eventually led me to SmartMarkVideo, and I purchased a handful of CZW VHS tapes just to see him. My exposure to indy wrestling was the same as most - I was astonished by what Amazing Red and the SAT were doing, and was convinced that their matches with Brian XL and Divine Storm were the greatest matches of all time. And, in particular, I remember buying a tape just to see the blow off to the Trent Acid vs. Ruckus feud.
I stopped buying tapes after only a few months, but a few years later I happened upon an independent wrestling show in Chicago Ridge. No, I hadn't heard of any the guys - but, hell, Trent Acid was on the card! I had to go! That was Death Before Dishonor II Night 2, and so begins my relationship with not only indy wrestling, but many friends, this community, and an ignited interest in a childhood passion.

That sucks to hear. Trent was one my favorites back when I first started watching indy wrestling around 2001 too.
