CheeZe: 21:9 Magic. The song I wasn't a fan of, it suited the meaning of the video just personnel preference I guess. I like how you built up Naito's previous matches before getting onto the main match. At 00:55 when the main match started brightening up the video was a really good route to go, just kicked out off the main part of the video. The B&W effect on clips I wasn't a fan of, as it didn't really fit with the part of the song, it was just a build up to the main move which wasn't really needed throughout the thing. The pin at the end, the shot itself look really good, but the ending you could have added more too, the end of the whole match should you could've had run a bit longer, maybe with just a clip of title holding up the title etc just as a way for the ending not to feel so subtle. But the editing in general was amazing, the beat syncing with a song like this would've been the most important thing for the video which you did a really good job with. Haven't seen the match myself as I have yet to get into NJPW but from what I see you got a lot of the match in there for just over a minute of it that you got in so great job.
Rev: I love this song, Rev and rock music is a great mix. That overlay is really nice that you used, especially for the transition at 00:34 leading into the B+W effect. Also the masking at the start was really smooth, great way to build up to the match. The flow throughout this video is outstanding and the video as a whole is really well edited. On the slow parts of the song, you showed the emotions through the clips tremendously. You showcased the match really well and got most of the match itself in there. Great job as a whole. That outro at the end was really cool as well, love your effects a lot your one of the guys that I take inspiration off when doing FX. Would've been nice to see you just make the aspect ration 21:9 instead of using cinematic bars, especially as Youtube has made 720p look like garbage now.
Rev Felt Rev focused more on recapping as much of the match as he could whilst CheeZe mainly recapped the main parts of it in and focused more on telling a story on Naito then the actual match itself. Great videos tho guys look forward to your next match.
CheeZe: The black and whites didn't make sense at all!, just kidding, I know they were flashbacks. the cinematic sound of the song was excellent really sold how serious the match was for Naito I don't think focusing more on him takes away from the match recap at all he was the winner after all and your use of b&w to show the past and color fading back into the present was so nice to look at during the action sequences seeing how things went for him before and how he overcame it this time around felt like it made that final 3 count mean more.
Rev: Dude your overlay game is always so nice looking that rainbow shock wave thing with the color changes looks awesome liked the choice of darker high contrast looking cc for this match cause it seemed to be one hell of an example of strong style and I think the darker look fits that. Ibushi trying to 1 up Nak with his own moves was edited wonderfully the good vibrations was one of my favorite parts that sequence with him getting back up gesturing to bring it on came across so smooth my favorite section is the 2:35 arm bar escape that was cool highlighting the little strong strikes before he used Naks knee really get the feeling they kicked the shit out of each other.
Vote: Man this is hard you both edited the same type of video but each took their own approach to it made for a fantastic matchup I wish I could vote for both of you but I'm going to have to go with Cheeze on this one

CheeZe: Did really well on showing how important this match was for Naito and getting the main points of his story across. Thought the part at 0:54 when they lock up was really well done. The callbacks to the previous matches and Naito learning from his past mistakes when he was Stardust Genius was great.
Rev: Ayyy I love me some In Her Own Words, the clip of Ibushi stomping Shinsuke in the corner to the "I will not be ignored" lyrics was awesome. Was a big fan of the changing between the red and blue as they went back and forth. The coked out Ibushi section and the transition back to color when he hit the Boma-Ye ruled. An awesome edit for an awesome match
Cheeze: Man, for a 2 minute video not only you recapped the match, but you managed to use callacks, and give a proper story to the video. That was really well done. So as I expected, their prior WK 8 and WK 12 had to be used in this, it wouldn't have been the same if that didn't happen. The callback to Naito beating White the night before with the "I had to cut a man down to get where I am" was a nice touch. The callbacks to the moves executed like the body slam, or the Gloria, or the spinning tombstone, or the Rainmakers all really well done and the black and white CC fitted very well in those. The twitch you used looked smooth as hell. Overall, it was an awesome edit. My only complaint would only be that I felt that a match of of this magnitude would need a little more time to tell the story of the actual match, but that's really a minor complant. Also "I spent my whole life chained to the wall, Hungry for more, Not afraid to fall" just screams Naito's path for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. Overall, just a terrific video my man, well done!
Rev: This was amazing man! I've watched like a ton of versions from edits of this match, and honestly this might have been the best edit of this match I've seen. Really, this was phenomenal. You did a fantastic job in the beginning building up the match with that beautiful looking masking at the entrances. The little letterbox at the beginning was very nice as well. I can't put into words how smooth your edit was, the use of those shockwave overlays was so good as was the of colours from red to blue and so on. Ibushi striking Nak and the song going "I will not be ignored" ruled as it ruled "I'll clench my jaw until it breaks". The high contrasted color correction really fit the vibe of this wonderful match. Your text at the end looked flawless btw. The way you did the slow part of the song ruled, the black and white CC with those overlays was beautiful!!!! Only complaint I might have is I kinda expected some callback to their G1 23 match, I feel like it would've also helped build the match.
This is hard for me to vote as both of you did amazing, as you guys never make these types of videos and I was as a big fan of highlights really glad to see such phenomenal editors like you guys make these videos. I will go with my gut on this, but I vote for Rev as I think I was more inclined to the style of video he produced. Extraordinary match guys
I really needed some time to collect my thoughts because your edits were just absolutely majestic!
Cheeze: Man I have seen maybe nearly edit of that match and you are the only person who has given it proper showcase that it deserves! I just loved the attention to detail and how dramatic and important it felt! You made me relive the emotions that I had while watching the match and just left me speechless!
Rev: I had huge expectations when I saw Ibushi and you still managed to exceed them! Edit was so fun, cinematic and just so beautiful to watch! I absolutely loved the overlays and feeling that you went for! I don't think I need to talk about feeling of the video because it captured feeling of the match perfectly!
You guys just knocked it out of park and it's only first week! I really can't wait to see more!
CheeZe: Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of the song when I first saw the video but after watching the whole edit I can say that I'm loving it, the way you edited made it 10 times better for me. The flashbacks were beautiful and your CCs were insane. The transition at 1:25 is one of the smoothest things I have ever seen. This was wonderful.
Rev: First of all the masking in the entrances were amazing, it was a really nice touch. Overlays were amazing as usual, and the shockwave transition was just beautiful. Song choice was really great, it really fits the match in my opinion. This was a really damn good recap video, awesome job.

CheeZe - Yeah, this shit is just nuts man! A week has passed by since I first watched this and I'm still amazed by how you were able to tell the WK trilogy of Naito V Okada. And everything was uniquely structured. Even though it's following a linear narrative, the many flashbacks to WK8, WK 12, and day 1 of WK 14 make it feel different. And the song gives it an epic feel to it. It almost felt like I was watching a very short film! That lyric sync about Naito having to "cut a man down to get to where he is" that man being White, is awesome! It goes to show Naitos determination to get his redemption against Okada and finally beat him at WK. One of my favorite parts has to be those entrance clips of Naito looking away and then looking at Okada at each WK. And of course I enjoyed all the callbacks to their matches throughout the recap of their match at WK 14. I loved the Naito stardust press callback very much! It's another clip that shows the progression of Naitos character from a "failure" to "winner". This video perfectly showcases this WK rivalry. Very impressive! Should have showed Kenta attacking Naito at the end!!! Poor Naito never gets a happy ending. Jk the whole Kenta thing is irrelevant to the story of this vid and this ending makes it seem like Naito forever lived happily ever after! Fantastic recap CheeZe!
Rev - Brilliant video! Nakamura vs Ibushi WK 9 is in my favorite top 10 maybe even top 5 matches ever! So when I first saw that you made a highlight of this match, I got hyped! And jeezus you really knocked it out of the park with this one. It not only brings nostalgia with the choice of song (which sounds like very late 2000's pop punk song) but even the match itself can bring nostalgia. So much has happened in the last 5 years that this match feels like it happened ages ago, maybe that's why it feels very nostalgic to me. But I mean overall, the video has a nostalgic aesthetic to it! With the use of zoom ins, showing almost every move and facial/body expressions done in the match, and the "Bertamax" Vaporwave type outro, it gives a sense of that nostalgic feeling. Speaking of the blue and red overlays, it took me 5 watches to realize that you kept switching from red to blue everytime Nakamura or Ibushi had the advantage, with Nakamura representing red and Ibushi representing blue. Then about 2 watches later I opened the description and saw that you kind of wrote what you were doing with the overlays and yeah. Regardless that was Tubular! TUBULAR!!! BTW, anyone else pop Everytime they see that slap exchange at 3:11? Forever will be one of my favorite spots just cause it looks so cool. Loved the colorful splash overlay you kept adding throughout the vid, but when placed at that spot of the slap sequence as both of them slap each other at the same time its just marvelous! I'll be rewatching this forever!
While one video gave off a nostalgic vibe, the other showed a more unique/different way of recapping a match. Very beautiful match and I'm dying to see the second installment of this trilogy between you two!

Rev: I didn't expect to see a highlight, but I'm very happy from this surprise! I've watched this numerous of times already. I loved the song very much (it's my favorite genre of music for recap videos), and the CC was so beautiful. The coloring was very pleasant to look at and it matches well with the match! Only nitpick I had would be the overlays at the end of the video, but that's pretty much it and it doesn't ruin the beautiful work you created. This is such an incredible video Rev!
CheeZe: I'm not the biggest fan of the Naito V Okada series of matches, but your video made me feel tons of emotions. Usually, what one expects from these trilogy match recaps is a video that lasts more than 4 minutes, but you managed to fit this story in a great amount of time that's great to watch and not tedious . Love how you put a different CC for the flashbacks from the last 2 matches, this way viewers can know what's present and what's from the past. And I loved your choice of song too! Don't have anything negative to say about your video. You did a phenomenal job!
rev - Man, this is so much fun. Definitely feels like a clear attempt to make a tribute to mid 2000's MVZ, and as someone who was already around back then, this makes me feel all nostalgic. Between the music choice, the match recap MV in general as a somewhat extinct type of video, the color effects and so on, just made me feel like the good ol' days. Lovely. And of course it's a great video on top of all the nostalgia as well. Pretty and creative effects as always, and you really did a great job of highlighting the oneupsmanship and escalation of violence from both guys in the match. Great stuff.
cheeze - While rev went with a classic self-contained match recap, you recapped Naito's attempts to finally win the big one over the years. Very fitting since he came up short so often against Okada specifically. Generally, very impressed how much of that you were able to get across in such short time. The intro did a wonderful job conveying his past failures and that he won't be denied, especially liked the "but I broke through, and here I stand" part for his final WK entrance. Liked that you took your time with the intro, even though that of course limits how much time you can spend on the actual WK match, but devoting almost half the video to the build-up really paid off and was more interesting than cramming in a few more moves or whatever. Enjoyed the little flashbacks in the second half as well. Great job!
Winner - Great match, off to a lovely start of the series. You both delivered, but rev edges it for me.
Cheeze: Starting right at the top I loved the little intro with the slow mo and freeze frames, thought that really set the tone right off the hop. Nice touch with the “..had to cut a man down..” showing Naito and Jay White. The thing I noticed right away about this was how great the pace was – it never faltered. Switching between black and white was a superb idea to transition back and forth between the past matches, I really dug that. This thing as a whole was perfect and I’d be seriously nit-picking even mentioning something could’ve been done differently. Even the song you worked to perfection and you didn't miss a single beat. As far as match(es) recaps go – this is as good as it gets, fantastic work, you’re one of the best on the site now and it shows.
Rev: My brotha! I can’t remember who it was (beej?) but when they said this reminded them of an old school MVZ style match recap they hit the nail right on the head! From the opening title screen to the sreamo rock song to the quick cuts and fast pace this whole thing just gave off such a great old school vibe and I’m glad you ran with that premise. Even though they are much a thing of the past, my biggest gripe with match recaps is that they can quickly drag and get boring but I was honestly shocked when this ended and it was 4 minutes! I couldn’t believe it! It was so entertaining and fun the time just flew. Use of colors mixed with black and white was fantastic from both of you guys, I really dug the multi-color flashes in the one especially! Obviously, this was one of the classic matches for the books and I think you captured the atmosphere and magnitude perfectly.
Winner: I believe these are two equally perfect match recap MVs and I would honestly label this as a tie. I guess ties aren’t an option so I will give this one to Rev by the slightest of margins with the old school MVZ vibe pushing it over the top for me.
CheeZe: This looks so professional! Almost like a WWE-style feud hype video set to NJPW footage, which is something I never knew I needed. What I was most impressed by was how much you did in such a short span of time. I got a good sense of their history together, and even more importantly, the importance of this match. Great work! There's a reason why you're the champ!
Rev: The old school MVZ inspiration brought a smile to my face. I could easily see Legend05 releasing this (a more primitively edited version) in 2007. You always make your NJPW footage look so clean and crisp too! I particularly enjoyed the grain on the footage. The most impressive thing to me here (putting the nostalgia aside) is your restraint. Doing a four minute match recap vid to me now sounds like a nightmare, as I would have exhausted all of the footage by the end of the first verse. You showed restraint, but kept a great pace and flow through the entire video!
Josh: can anyone give me an idea on what this is about?
May 24, 2019 23:01:30 GMT -5
silvermalin: Anyone got an idea where I can find any football (soccer) clips for a video?
Jun 21, 2019 5:33:53 GMT -5
𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑫𝒀 ᶜʰᵉᵉᵏˢ: It depends what type of football footage you're looking for? I'm sure you'll be able to find a lot of matches or even interviews on YouTube. Another place you can look for is on kickasss.to or kickasstorrents.ee.
