Sucks that they're bumping Xbox Live Gold up an extra $10 a year, but they got a little deal going on until October 31st where you can renew Gold for 1 year for $40.

New pics of the God of War: Ghost of Sparta PSP Bundle:Microsoft is rumored to be releasing a revision of the standard Xbox 360 controller with a better d-pad. No one knows if it's going to be bundled with the new consoles or if it will be released by itself. This holiday season is the rumored launch window.

Here's the latest on the new Xbox controller with TRANSFORMING D-Pad... Comes out November 9th in the US for $65 w/ Play & Charge Kit. It'll be available February 2011 in Europe. Here's the official Xbox.com listing. I'm really interested to find out if this new D-Pad actually works. If it does, I'll be so much more excited for Marvel vs Capcom 3.

$65 for an actual controller that you use for ALL games is a better value than paying upwards of $100 for an arcade stick that you only use for 2D fighting games.
That said, this should have been handled more like the retro-active red ring repairs. Whether it be something like "send in your current xbox controller for a half-off coupon" or just releasing it for a more affordable price altogether.

That said, this should have been handled more like the retro-active red ring repairs. Whether it be something like "send in your current xbox controller for a half-off coupon" or just releasing it for a more affordable price altogether. But it's just a rotating d-pad and a new coat. Nothing else has really changed and Microsoft thinks that's suppose to make me feel my $65 is going to be spent wisely? Another question arises too, Why are they just barely releasing this now? It's no mystery that the d-pad was messed up from the get go. They knew about it, yet decided to do nothing for 4 years. I've grown accustom to the stick now with fighting games. Too little, too late if you ask me. If they did do the send in old controllers and get half coupon deal or have it at a more valued price Vyper, I wouldn't be as vocally against it.
