Hey guys, maybe a lot of you don't know me, that's all right, I only posted 2 videos of mine here. The last one was a ROH Tribute MV named as "We Will Live and Die in These Towns" seven or eight months ago. I still edit, but for my school now. I'm a 16 year Brazilian boy that grew up a lot in the last 3-4 years watching wrestling and editing. Just let me tell you my story. I will try to be short.
In 2008, WWE debuted in national television here in Brazil, every single one of my friends were amazed by the moves, wrestlers, story lines and etc. However, I didn't gave a shit. I was always saying things like "Wrestling is a joke" or "It's just fake, get over it". I was too cocky to stop and watch, but one Saturday, that don't know why I did it, I sit my ass in the front of the computer and watched the Triple Treath match between The Rock, The Undertaker and Kurt Angle at Vengeance 2002.
The Rock made me a fan of wrestling. I was in love for the sport at that time. However, WWE came short on Brazil. It ended even before Wrestlemania 24, and so there was internet. My friends all gave up after it, but I couldn't. Soon enough, I gathered more information about wrestling through the national blogs and forums. I took me 2 years to know Indy Wrestling. It was also the time I started editing. Why? Because i wanted to be like you guys, i wanted to do the same amazing things you guys did. Th3rd, her69eyes, Itownbob, MVMafia, Zee, Awesome Dude, all those names that you can see in those great projects.
I made two tributes for my school, one for the Mother's Day, other for the Father's Day, 15-18 minutes long each. I never posted any of them here because they are in full portuguese, and maybe you guys wouldn't get it. I need to say this: those were the best days of my life. I was ovationed by one full crowded theater in two different occasions, and I can't even find words to describe it. Now, my school wants to do a movie festival, and of course, I'm in!
One week ago, I was having my last english class test and a strange portuguese guy went the class. I never talked about wrestling to other person because people usually laugh their ass off about it, but I was not worried at all that time. So I did it. My class teacher just laughed about it, just like I spected, but the portuguese guy just asked me about Hulk Hogan. The guy told me that he lived in United States for five years, we went in a long discussion about the "States" culture and ours (Brazil). Of course, there were a lot of wrestling involved. My class teacher asked us "Wrestling is fake, isn't? How guys like you can like it?", "You can't say that passion is fake, can you?" I answered she. 20 minutes after it, she was all amazed about that crazy CM Punk promo.
Here's the deal, UFC Rio had a AMAZING reaction here, so why not a 15 minutes Wrestling Documentary? I mean, the film festival is just two months away, it would be great! So, I'm here to ask you guys, that inspired me so much in the last two years, could you help me? I mean, could you really set the record for something? I want to show all these non-belivers the passion between those ropes. Because I was like them.
I made this exact same question to my "professor", Zee, and the first thing he told me was to "Go to MVZone, the guys will be proud to help you". I just contacted Johnny Yuma from the RockNES Monsters and he's in! I'm trying to get Gregory Iron right now and who knows? Sky is the limit. A friend of mine told me that it wouldn't work and I was crazy about it. But here I'm! I got Yuma already, I know I can get more people to join me in this wild ride.
What do you think guys?
(sorry for the grammar!)
