So my desktop is about 4 years old and just recently I've noticed I can't run any games in my normal 1920x1080 format and all that other stuff.
I don't know too much about picking the right parts when it comes to computer stuff, so I want to know if I wanted a new graphics card to run these games as best as possible, what other components would I need as well?

The CPU, RAM, and Video/Graphics Card are the main hardware you'll need to worry about. If you're looking about the minimum stuff you'll need for a game, I'd recommend SystemRequirementLabs. I always use that whenever I see if I can run a certain game or not. For buying products, NewEgg is the way to go for sure.

Thanks for the recommendation Atom. I just decided to give this desktop to my brother for his editing and start saving up for a gaming only PC.
