Hello,
I'm aware how completely noobish this is going to sound, but I haven't done anything really creative with video or even Photoshop(lesser extent), in a fair few years, pretty much since 2011 when I left College, but I really want to get back to doing more again.
Now I mostly worked with Premiere Pro back then, however the layout now is incredibly different and it feels like a lot of features are now missing that used to be there. Might be a lack of plug ins in the Vanilla version or whatever, I don't know. But I know back then the general consensus was Sony Vegas was the way to go on PC. Is that still that case? If not what would you guys say was the better program to use? Same for Video Converting.
Also I'm sorry if this kind of stuff has been repeated countless of times.

Sony Vegas isn't very popular to use anymore but some still use it. I personally prefer Adobe Premiere over vegas but it's a bit more complicated than Vegas is.
I personally use Premiere just cause it has all the tools I like to use in 1 program, rather than me using After Effects and Vegas.
As for Video converting, I'm guessing you are talking about converting your footage? I use Format Factory for that but I'm sure there are better programs out there I'm not too educated on those programs tho.
