Hello, i'm sure you all have no idea who I am. But, allow me to introduce myself. I am jthunder. a long time lurker of the MVzone. I have constantly watched the amazing videos many have put on. I have been here since the days of people posting MVs on the ROH board. So, with that being said, I am indeed familiar with people like Jack Jeckal, Ausdragon, and Her69eyes. I haven't seen the "birth" of people like beej but, I found a new respect for him because of the FANTASTIC Shawn Michaels MV he did. Later on, beej releases yet another epic video with Vince McMahon...Who knew you could make him look so good!?
While I don't remember much from the days of old, I still feel like I grew up watching you guys grow. Moving from board to board, site to site was a hassle...this I know. I was lurking around as usual today and I find it a shame that this awesome site is going downhill. My theory is that people lost interest and moved on. Tends to happen. I WOULD help out but, I just don't see how to get people inspired again. As much as I want to keep the faith in this board and this idea, it seems depressing at best as what the future may hold.
I really hate to sound like a stalker here and I apologize if I come out as one but, I just wanted to give my 2 cents in. Anyway, another theory I have as to why this board is dying is because you kept moving from board to board. I don't blame that on anyone, though. That stuff happens. Heh, I still remember seeing Jack Jeckal releasing his "Kings of Wrestling" video and I marked out over how epic that was. To be quite honest, I marked out over several videos because I could feel the emotion and drive behind it. At one point, I thought some of these guys actually worked within the wrestling companies because these guys were THAT good!
Oh, and remember Maynard? He made very good videos as well. I also remember the "Why I watch" video boom where everyone was making those. Just so many memories with this site...I really want to help out but, it's just so sad to see these legendary video makers leaving. Well, i'm sorry for the lengthy post but, I just wanted to give my thoughts...My thoughts as a MVzone lurker...Sincerely, jthunder.
EDIT: Another memory popped into my mind. I won't forget the time where HJASkater came about and was the laughing stock of the MV zone. HJA sticks around and surprises the masses later on and improves his video editing skill. Great times.
