I'm going to post this extremely unpopular opinion but I don't get the hype on Walter? I've seen some stuff from him but I'm not too familiar but from what I've seen I don't really get why everyone is super high on him. Like okay he has some really hard chops but...?? Maybe you guys can send some matches of his that I should check out because I don't really get it. I like him because he's like a throwback to the great working big men of the 80's, but not in a self conscious, gimmicky sort of way. Like Stan Hansen or Terry Gordy, but with a distinctly Middle-European austerity that makes him a great heel. With all the flying and over-the-top stuff in wrestling today, it's a nice change of pace from time to time watch this big mean bastard who never smiles come out and just beat the shit out of people. And honestly, I'd probably like his matches more if the chops weren't so stiff. They make me wince every time I see one.

I'm thinking that's probably where the disconnect happens from me with him. I started watching wrestling very late 99 into 2000. Not many guys were working that style around that time (not very good at least). The first time I was exposed to that style was when I started watching ROH in '04. Although my favorite guys back then didn't work that style other than somewhat Joe but I think his style back then was a bit different. Although, that's ways away from the 80's.
I do agree its a nice change of pace tho, I'll have to look into him more!

They made Yoshi-Hashi a shirt that's just as boring as he is!

Ehhh I disagree on that That’s not any talent of Orton, but RVD in this clip. Always hated how Orton doesn’t lock the cravat all the way through the move. Diamond Cutter always felt like a much cleaner move to me, with way more variations.

I picked a bad one considering RVD did most of the work there as you stated but I still think there's been a lot of good ones through the years somewhat fewer after watching that video since I'm pretty sure some were probably inspired by DDP now hadn't seen a lot of those. some were pretty sweet love the ones where he pulls them in but at the same time something about the standard diamond cutter with the cravate then small sprint don't hit me right but at the same time he was more inventive with it than Orton has been in the recent past and every single use of a move cant look amazing theirs always less awesome looking variations but at least its something fresh.

I’m not bashing Orton’s by any means - his timing is second to none. But as far as the many variations, DDP’s has always been my favorite.

I see where your coming from on that now though and I get it some shockers here and there don't outweigh the value of keeping your finisher fresh like DDP was doing plus a lot of Orton's best RKO's had a lot to do with the guy selling it more I thought on it like you said with the gif clip I think I agree with you now tbh lol
