This video was started about a month ago, before all of the craziness that hit the world and forced our lives to change. The “Looking For Some Light” song and recurring theme was mostly a happy accident, but the sentiment rings even more true now.
Hope everyone is well and staying safe. Let me know what you think of the video!

Absolutely lovely, as per usual. Even moreso because this video's theme is absolutely necessary during these dark times. Felt a sense of some much needed hope, really loved the song choice. Wise choice with the Tom Hanks section, considering he was one of the first famous people to get infected and I wonder if you specifically sought that out because of the fact. Beautiful clip selections, the one that stands out the most is the ending clip as it embodies the theme of the song. Thanks for another installment in the Letterboxd series! With this whole quarantine going on, I wish others (me included wrestling mv-wise, been stuck on my freelance video projects) would be dropping video after video during all this stay-at-home time.

Thank you for the kind words. I actually knew I was going to use that scene the first time I saw it, months ago. It was even in place before all of this happened, so it was another happy accident. Just like the last Letterboxd video, the main theme just kind of naturally happened and became really resonate with my life - although this one may be even more accessible to everyone considering our shared circumstances.

Another beautiful video! I don't have a ton to say from an editing standpoint. I just continue to be very impressed by how you manage to take so many different movies, with such disparate subject matter and tie them together with a connecting theme. I mean, in the first 30 seconds you have clips from Love & Mercy, The Lighthouse, and Rio Bravo, which couldn't be more different on the surface, but then you think about it and in a way the emotional struggles of the spotlighted characters are very similar--psychological issues, self-medication, eventual salvation (false for one, real for the other two). Good stuff, buddy! It brightened my day.
