What a wonderful video beej! When this popped up on my Youtube Feed Last night I was wondering who made it, but I honestly knew just by the title and two seconds into the video with that opening text. Like I said before I loved this, conceptually alone I was going to love this, but as usual with your wonderful editing and storytelling and still experimenting with new ideas make for another fantastic video. Technically as usual this is great, but that overlay you had throughout was wonderful and so pleasing to the eye! Loved the extra little film scratches ontop and even some colored ones looked so good! Absolutely loved that opening Voiceover and how you just let it all play out! Perfectly placed, and I love how you let certain clips just play out like alot throughout the first two minutes of the video. Lets the video breathe and make those cuts feel more impactful and your one of the best to do it. Your clip selection here as always is great, and I loved your voiceovers! Super unconventional, but completely captures and works so well with the tone of video. Absolutely loved when we get to the last hook of the song and the kissing montage of it going further back in film history of love, while then so smoothly circling back finishing out the story with our intro V.O. As usual man you bring another uplifting video to the community and do it so freaking well. So happy your still making stuff here and there, fantastic work bud!

I know I say this about your stuff all the time, but this one is really just so totally beej. It's as beej as it gets; beej ne plus ultra! I think Reed summed up a lot of my thoughts on it, so I won't bother repeating too much. The one thing that really stands out though is the use of effects. Even as somebody who usually isn't a big fan of heavy effects use in videos (MMV or otherwise) I think it really works here to help aestheticze the video and connect all the disparate film clips. Great work as always, my friend!
How did you ever manage to make it through this entire video without a single clip from a Wong Kar-Wai movie?
