Wow. Quite the snub for James Franco not being nominated for Best Actor in the Oscars this year. I'm assuming it has to do with the allegations that came out.

Anyone follow FiImspotting Madness? This year they are doing films from the 90's. The first round is done, but I'm curious what other's brackets would look like. challonge.com/madness2018.svg

But if those brackets are meant to represent the 64 best movies of the 90's I would have a great many issues with that list. Clueless? There's Something About Mary? The Sixth Sense? Metropolitan? Trainspotting? Not saying those are bad movies, but where's The Crying Game? The Double Life of Veronique? Hard Boiled? Short Cuts? Shit, they don't even have Braveheart on the list, and that's a mainstream movie that everybody knows.

The two hosts, who are movie critics, picked the bracketing. They have acknowledged some of the grief they've gotten for notable omissions, but they were the ones to narrow the field to 64 participants. They do this every year. Prior years include best director and best actors.

Does anyone use Letterboxd here? I sometimes find myself perusing various reviews and lists people have posted, but I've never actually created an account, if that's what you mean.

WHY WON’T YOU BE FRIENDS WITH ME?!? letterboxd.com/AD917/There. So far all I've done is pick four films that may or may not be my favorites. I might do more at a later date.

letterboxd.com/AD917/There. So far all I've done is pick four films that may or may not be my favorites. I might do more at a later date. HEY EVERYONE! AD AND I ARE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!! Funny story about this: So I completely forgot I made this account like immediately after I signed up. Then you guys start talking about it on your podcast and I says to myself, "oh yeah, I got me one of those." So then it's 3am this morning and I can't sleep so I decide to give this Letterboxd thing a try. I post a short review of "Wayne's World", which I'd just watched a few hours earlier. And immediately the site goes down. I'm thinking "I post one review and I kill the damn website." Anyway, I ended up spending most of the night messing around with it when I should've been sleeping. I can see how it might become pretty addictive. Your review of Rob Zombie's "31" made me laugh, by the way. That movie is terrible.

I woke up to an excited message from Reed saying “AD is using Letterboxd!!” It was an exciting way to start the day!
