So, what did you get up to? Trick or Treating? As students, as with much of the rest of life, Halloween is an excuse for a piss up. This year, I decided to be Muta! This is what I was aiming for: People variously assumed I was Darth Maul or Spiderman.

I am a grown man, so I didn't wear a costume. And yes, I say "wear" in the past tense, because in my town, Halloween was officially yesterday, because I live in the bible belt, and Sunday is The Lord's Day. I'm tempted to go on an Atomsk-esque rant, but once again, I'm a grown man, and I have better things to do.
The family did watch the traditional horror movie as we do every year. We usually watch either the original Halloween or The Blair Witch Project, but we all agreed we were tired of those two, and the only other horror movie we had in the house was Jaws, so we watched that. Not exactly fitting for Halloween, but it is a classic, and I enjoyed it very much. I wanted to watch Alien, but I couldn't my copy, and all of the video stores in town have closed down. All that's left are the RedBox machines, but they only carry new movies for the most part, and every time I go to one, I get stuck behind somebody who A) doesn't know how to operate the machine (regardless of the on-screen instructions), B) is talking on a cell phone listing every movie available to the person on the other end, or C) both. For this reason, I'm about two years behind on movies.
RedBox = true horror

I've been watching really shitty horror movies on Netflix. I'll be taking my nephew trick'r'treating in a few hours, then I'll watch The Walking Dead premiere. I would dress up, but I just don't get excited for Halloween anymore.
PS: I would love to see jefe rant about the bible belt!

The Walking Dead! I forgot that was tonight, and I'll probably forget again by the time it comes on, try my best to catch it again, forget it again, get so far behind it's hopeless, then just buy it on DVD like I do everything else.
I'll post my rant elsewhere to keep from ruining the Halloween spirit.
