Thinking about getting a X Box One. Good idea or should I just stick with my Playstation? It really just comes down to which console exclusive games you prefer. Uncharted, Killzone, etc. or Gears of War, Halo, etc. Get whichever console has the games you want to play.

I was lucky enough to get a preorder in on the PSVR. Sold out within 10 minutes on Amazon so yeah, I'm very very lucky.

I thought Oxenfree was pretty good. Maybe not 20 bucks good since it's only about 4 hours but it offers multiple ending so the replay value is there.

I got the opportunity to play some VR games on the Galaxy Gear VR headset that came with my phone the other day. It was pretty amazing to be able to almost feel like I was in these worlds as I was playing. Granted, this is a pretty basic form of VR so it's not perfect, but as a taster for what VR can be I think it has a good chance to become something more as the years go on.
The game that really made an impact on me was Land's End, which is from the same developer that made the great title Monument Valley. Land's End doesn't have a narrative (at least so far). It drops you into this world and since it's a puzzle game, you go from section to section and figure out ways to get from one part of the island to the other. Since it's only 5 chapters, and I'm at Chapter 2, it is short but while there is no text and only has you, the world and the music, you get encapsulated in this world and want to find out more.

About how much does one of those VR headsets cost? And where did you get them? The Gear VR retails for $100 but only Samsung phones can use it. Then you got the other 2 VR headsets on the market currently in HTC Vive & the Oculus Rift. The Vive retails for $800 and the Rift is $600. The problem with both (other than the price if that's all that's holding you back from buying one) is they are currently hard to find (as is the Gear VR). Even people who placed pre-orders right when they were available do not have them. You also have to have a pretty good PC to run both and the thing with the Vive is that it has sensors that you put at the sides of your room and it calibrates like that so if you have a small room then that couple poses a problem. It's a niche market obviously so those who are diving in have the disposable income to take the chance, but if you were curious to buy one then I would wait because I can't really think of too many examples to give you to show that this thing is a must have right now. Someday I definitely think it will, but right now I would wait.
