I would guess that most of you have seen the new website. The domain name should be working within a few hours. I made a stupid error yesterday afternoon (I deleted the redirect request shortly after creating it), but things have been resolved and themvzone.com will be working within a few hours. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts. Keep in mind that we still have a lot of links to add and editor pages to create, but you get the idea of what we're going for. Additionally, if you find errors in any of the listings, please contact me or reply to this thread. We hope you enjoy it. I don't know that I can calculate how many hours that I, as well as Revolution, MVMafia, and SSpress, put into this project, but i'm happy with the results. We've never listed this many videos.

As I mentioned in a different thread before I knew what I found on google was to not be spoken about, the drop-down and multi-menus are a great addition. It makes the viewing and organization much easier and was definitely a necessity from what the last page was like.
So. Much. Gray. You may want to think about changing the font color of the titles & dates of updates to a color that sticks out a little more. I like the page 10x better than the old one. I hope you feel all the hard work was worth it. I'm sure that everyone appreciates it a lot!

I really like the drop down menus and the site in general seems functional and easy on the eye.

As self-centered as I am, I've only checked out my own video list so far, and I'm in complete amazement of how comprehensive it is. You have videos up that I thought were lost forever. Videos that I never even knew were hosted on the old server. Videos that I don't even have on my computer anymore.
I can't imagine how much work was required for the whole site, but you can be sure that it is greatly appreciated.

I like the drop down menus and the logos, but the Grey and blog posts just look very boring and out of place.

We appreciate all the feedback. I'm currently trying to fix the grey-ness of the site, but I'm not sure if our theme will allow us to do so.
Be sure the check the main site often, we plan on updating the site frequently. In fact, there's a Poll up right now about COC. Please go there and vote. ;D
If there is anyone interested in posting on the mainsite, whether it be a weekly/monthly/whatever column, be sure to let one of us know.

The site is great from what I've seen so far. If you guys dont mind, I've got a few questions to catch me up to speed after all these years... I remember with the first mv zone that Raze was taking care of a lot of responsibilities, but I havent seen him here since coming back. Where's he at? What's the ratio of new editors to ones who were around at 1.0? I see quite a few old names The culture here seems to be like it used to, with cool friendly people. Now it seems as though its not purely wrestling orientated, which suits me. When editors release a video for comments or for a competition is there still a level of interest similar to back in the day? You would need a lot of people watching videos to have a successful competition I'd imagine... I'm interested in dabbling in some editing again for the first time in years (besides some small stuff at uni). I'd chuck a mvzone.com tag on the mvs if this site is looking to promote itself. Not sure if you guys are doing this with your vids? Thanks

Woah, great to have you back, ausdrag!
Ryan still pops in to check on us every once in awhile. He stopped visiting regularly due to work and his relationship, but he is good at catching up with us when he has time.
There are a handful of regular posters who have been around since the very beginning, and even more who, while not as active, still visit quite often. Myself, Revolution, VyperJMC, Flammable D, and others contribute frequently, and guys like PNB, Shocker333, and maynard still visit regularly. I still keep in contact with SansJason. Of the founding members, we've always wondered what happened to both you and Jack Jeckel. Just about everyone else has caught up with us at one time or another.
There isn't as much participation as there was in 2006 - 2008, but competitions still do happen several times a year with a healthy amount of videos.
I hope you stick around - the community is still active, albeit in niches (i.e., some members reserve themselves almost exclusively to the TV & Movie section, others to Technology, others to Wrestling). It's nice to see you back as you were one of the guys who really elevated the community in our early years by setting an enormously high standard with your technique.

New site looks pretty cool, from what I've perused through so far… On a side note, I found that I have a lot of old competitions, circa startup -2007. I don't have Merry Vidmas 2005, or Full Circle, but I DO have: *I think all of Fict or Faction *All of The New Wave except for Kel Steenerico's vid *All of the Maude Flanders tourney *All of COC round one except for RM Punk's and Kel Steenerico's *All of Green With MV *All of MV For Vendetta except for Th3rd's *All of When MVs Attack
I also have loads of other stuff from 2005-2007, but there's no way I can list 'em all. You're free to ask if I have anything in particular.
Anyway, I plan on stopping in every now and then to see what's shaking here, and congratulations to everyone for keeping the MV Zone alive!

Thanks for the reply Eric. I'm really impressed with the efforts of you, revolution and all the other guys who've kept this going. Looks like there were quite a few hurdles to overcome from what I've seen. So hopefully this time things will be steady and the site will grow.
I will try and stick around as I've got a couple ideas that I'm playing around with. I feel like a complete nooby in vegas after all this time. Facing a bit of a difficult learning curve actually. Should all come back to me eventually and I hope to contribute some mma and tv content.
Will also change my username as this name stuck after my first couple mvs.
Oh, and some actual feedback on the site - really like the site logo. Good use of whitespace and the site is simple to navigate. It'll get tidier over time im sure, but for now its v good. I'm glad now that when I search 'mv zone' on google it doesn't result with a site that comes with the 'this site may harm your computer' warning beneath it.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Much appreciated. I like the social networking tabs at the top right. I do too. Now its time to put those sites to good use! I also have loads of other stuff from 2005-2007, but there's no way I can list 'em all. You're free to ask if I have anything in particular. Much appreciated, Rockets! We'll continue archiving and let you know if we're missing anything. Great hearing from you! I will try and stick around as I've got a couple ideas that I'm playing around with. I feel like a complete nooby in vegas after all this time. Facing a bit of a difficult learning curve actually. Should all come back to me eventually and I hope to contribute some mma and tv content. Look forward to seeing some of these, Greg (sorry, I've grown accustomed to calling Awesome Dude "AD"). Do you still keep in touch with London Calling? I recall you guys being buddies in real life, and he happened to be one of my favorite editors also. Would be really really cool if he popped in to say hello, maybe even drop a video. ;D

Yeah, LC is still a great mate of mine. Not sure if i could get him to pop in, but I'll try to coax him to when he gets back from his holidays. Maybe if it's possible to get hosting for the mv im working on I could link him to the site that way.
Both of us are pretty similar that we went off wrestling many years ago and crossed over to watching mma/kickboxing etc.

Whats up buddy! Haven't seen your name pop up in ages. I got engaged, working on a house and family; thus me not being very internet heavy any longer. I was actually just showing my buddy our James Gibson video and said, "This was the best James Gibson video ever made on the internet". Although it was the only, still the best.
Hope life is treating you well brother.
