Don't know if this is happening to anybody else, but my Nakamura and Hiromu videos were taken down by youtube today, and I got hit with a strike against my account. Just a heads up for anybody who has New Japan content on their page.

Just a heads up for anybody who has New Japan content on their page. That happens randomly, they just have periods when they strike. One day Stylopz lost his channel and 2 weeks later all my MVs got taken down and I got 2 strikes. Sadly that's how it is when you edit New Japan

Vidmas 2020 was excluded from the Zonies?

Vidmas 2020 was excluded from the Zonies? So I went by videos/matches that were uploaded/posted in 2020 and most of Vidmas was 2021. Though my bad, it slipped my mind all your MMV's were done in 2020. I'll fix that. I guess taking Vidmas to January is a bad idea to begin with because my intention was for everyone to enjoy their Christmas. I think I'll scale it back to December before Christmas begins.

You guys can do it however you’d like, I was just curious when I didn’t see any Vidmas stuff nominated.

Has mixing fullscreen and widescreen footage in MVs been discussed much on this board? Any thoughts/help would be appreciated

Has mixing fullscreen and widescreen footage in MVs been discussed much on this board? Any thoughts/help would be appreciated For context I use Windows Live Movie as the base part of the music video (video without most effects) than transfer to Video Pad trial/noncommercial version (for other stuff and I'm explaining) One the strategies that have helped me is having everything/a concentrated section in a be in a with big border and/or vignette so its harder to tell what is wide what Aspect Ratio is which and cover up some stuff. Another thing that has helped me is - Have everything be one is have everything just be cropped to wide screen - it the video ends in full screen section do a pan to zoom to a color focal point - Find a full screen clip with that color zoom out from that point to a full screen

Any thoughts/help would be appreciated For movie music videos, we usually mix because of the director’s original intent when making the film and the desire to preserve that rather than cropping into the frame. For wrestling, I think pretty much everyone keeps one uniform aspect ratio for the entire video.

If its a video for competition, people will likely criticize it and say its a distraction, unless its a movie-based video like Beej mentioned. But if its non-competition or you don't care, then go for it. Most videos are widescreen these days, and will either do the WWE thing where they zoomblur the video for the edges or zoom in completely for a widescreen look entirely. The latter is what I do most of the time, but most recently I had this same issue and got creative.
