I have all all the same cept I have Weidman rolling through Vitor.
It's crazy how stacked this card is still even with the injuries/Jones thing that messed it up a bit.

Who you got this saturday? I got Belfort, Rumble, Cerrone, Browne and Benavidez, in the main. Hall and Dodson in the prelims. The other fights I'll just wait and see. Rumble, Weidman, Cerrone, Browne, Benavidez, Dodson, Kim, Hall, Namajunas. |

Props to DC for taking all those bombs from Rumble & barely flinching (with the exception of that huge knockdown in the first). It's a shame Rumble gassed out so quickly though. If he had come in better shape, that fight could've been truly epic. And I enjoyed DC calling out Jones... in theory. Would've made more sense if Bones hadn't already big brother'd Cormier when he didn't have his shit together. "Jon Jones, get your shit together, I'm waiting... for you to really fuck my shit up!" Was so happy to see The Chris pound that stupid mohawk mullet into the canvas. Looking forward to Weidman vs Rockhold or Jacare next. That headkick Cerrone broke Makdessi's jaw with... just brutal. Arlovski vs Browne was awesome! I wanna see Arlovski vs Cro Cop now. My boy Condit returns next weekend! Can't wait! |

Oh, I'm sure Rumble was in shape. He'll never have good cardio though. That's just his style. When you're that explosive and powerful, that's what's gonna happen. And we shouldn't discount that DC is an absolute master at grinding dudes into the ground and sapping their energy. No idea how Cormier survived those shots by Rumble, but I was so happy to see him beat Rumble's woman-beating ass. Fuck that guy.
Very enjoyable show. Weidman looked pretty wonky early, but what a destructive dude he is. Yeesh. Almost made me feel bad for Vitor.

Great fight from DC and an even better (short/sweet) post fight promo. Really happy for the guy. I knew Rumble was going to gas himself out going for the early finish. If he had a more conservative gameplan other than Round 1 headhunting the fight would have been more interesting. Great job by DC, What a fucking chin to eat those punches and his grappling doesn't disappoint, What a fucking load.
Didn't think The Chris would walk through Vitor like that. Again, props to the chin for allowing him to absorb some tough shots from Vitor early. I don't particularly care for Weidman, but fuck, he is amazing. I hope Rockhold beats him but don't think he has a great shot.

I really hope Jacaré gets the shot. He is the one guy I think is better then weidman both on his feet and on the ground, even though the latter is debatable. But weidman surely never fought someone so strong and well-versed in submissions like jacaré, I'm curious as to if and how weidman is going to manage to do his usual grappling and grinding on this guy.

We should call it the mullhawk. The name's as stupid as the haircut. Amazing card from start to finish. Dodson vs. Makovsky and Benavidez vs. Moraga were slower than I expected. Props to Dodson though, I really like his fights. He's probably the only guy with a chance of beating Mighty Mouse. Browne vs. Arlovski was a heavyweight war, as it should have been. I mean, nobody expected Arlovski to win, but the fight pretty much went as expected, pretty much a bombing from both sides looking to see who's got the best chin. Props to Arlovski for resurrecting, and dat dramatic knockout. Cerrone vs. Dos Anjos should be really good. His striking is so smooth, makes it look effortless. Makdessi should get a good fight soon too. He went in there for an ass (or head) kicking and he took it like a man. Khabib should get Pettis or Henderson next, just as a formality. The Chris really looked good. I don't like his style much, but he's effective and looked like a champion against a challenger expected to give him more of a fight. Vitor looked like shit and that's sad because I wanted him to win. I think Rockhold should fight The Chris next. DC vs. Rumble was a good fight, DC did an amazing job of exploiting Johnson's weaknesses. Johnson's face post fight was scary. Bader trying to stay relevant in 2015 is really sad, but I wouldn't mind seeing him getting his shit kicked in. If only the 188 card here in Mexico was as good, I wouldn't have second guessed it. Stupid card only has Cain vs. Werdum, and nothing else of note. On another note... There's gonna be a Wand seminar next month and I'll be attending. I don't give a fuck if he's as crisp as he used to. He's my childhood hero of stepping on people's faces. I'll be marking out so bad. |

Agree with pretty much everything you said, ben, but Melendez vs Alvarez is the the co-main for 188. That was a dream fight just a couple years ago & is still a very big deal today. Sadly though, the rest of the card is ass.
