I've been trying to redo my media folder and update files that are LQ with 720p videos. I figured out that they work best in a MPEG format in Sony Vegas, but everytime I convert the videos, they come out a bit fuzzy and it's really noticeable during entrances.
Does anyone know what to adjust to fix this, is it Bit Rate or something else?

Well in that case, converting things to .avi should be fine in terms of vegas. Shouldn't have any lag or etc. I am pretty sure .avi holds quality better than .mpeg, so try out .avi.

Thanks! The problem I've been having is all the shows I download are in .MKV format, so I put them in Virtual Dub and do the direct steam copy and for some reason when I put them in Vegas, they get all glitchy, but maybe I'll try playing around with the different options.

Personally, when i have .mkv files, i either use prism or format factor. I convert them to .avi and it works perfectly.

Is the quality much different than the original?

I convert all of my mvk files to mp4 with prism. Quality stays the same for me.

Quality should stay pretty similar. However, i believe Pick uses Premiere? Cause .mp4 files dont work in vegas. My advice is test it out for yourself.
