So this is a take off on the "Favorite Wrestler (This Week)" feature that they've been doing over at F4WOnline lately. Basically, whenever a certain wrestler (or team, faction, etc.) has been impressing you for any particular reason just come to this thread and shout 'em out.
My favorite wrestler right now is the current Best of the Super Juniors, and reigning ROH TV Champion (not a spoiler if you watch NJPW)... KUSHIDA.
His offense isn't likely to make twitter explode like Ricochet and Will Ospreay. And he doesn't often take the spectacular risks that Hiromu Takahashi and Dragon Lee are known for. But his work in this year's BOSJ proved that he might be the most versatile in-ring performer on the planet right now. He had four great matches in the tournament, and none of them was anything like the others. His match with Bushi was like a classic New Japan Juniors style match. Against Taguchi it was almost more like a New Japan version of Sports Entertainment, working plenty of comedy in with the fast-paced action. Then he went full on lucha in the ring with Volador Jr. in a match that probably would have played even better in Mexico City, but was still great in Japan. Finally, when he tore the house down in the final against Will Ospreay, he was able to still tell a story while keeping up with all the flippy flops (something that Ospreay, as much as I enjoy his work, sometimes forgets to do). A true ring general, this guy.
Plus, his small package driver finish is apparently now called "Back to the Future" to go along with the Hoverboard Lock and the Marty McFly vest. So the guy's got good taste in movies, too.
Also want to give a shout out to ACH, who was also great in BOSJ (watch his match with Volador if you haven't yet), and really deserves a full time spot on the NJPW roster, or any roster, really.
