Figured I should get this out just in time for Wrestle Kingdom. So, after 1.5 years, here it finally is: The last video of my History of NJPW quadrology(?). Focuses on roughly the last 11 years of NJPW, after Tanahashi winning his first IWGP Heavyweight title. So I'd recommend watching my Vidmas video first But all in all, I think this works pretty well too as a stand-alone video. After two story-heavy videos, this kind of returns to the spirit of the first video as more of a NJPW "freestyle", if you will. Here's a playlist with all the videos: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLybmmiJ45sVVzE_Z3wL0L06JjpdGHY9Pr&disable_polymer=trueI've also been really interested in neural style transfer, so I finally pulled the trigger to play around with it a bit. Definitely a lot more work needed on that stuff, this is just a first experiment. I expect this to become a pretty standard effect in a couple of years, but it's still a real hassle as of today. But hey, rendering only took 48 hours and I didn't even have to install ubuntu and use command line tools! (A bit more info in the video description if anybody is curious) So yeah, there's that experiment: And finally, I combined all four parts into a single video like I did with my Misawa trilogy. Rendering nearly gave me an aneurysm. Turns out that inserting four project files into Vegas just leads to everything crashing as soon as you click anywhere, or move your mouse, or look at it the wrong way. Woof. Glad I'm done with all that crap now.

Did you know the first video was linked in today's Observer Update? I'll give you feedback on this one after I watch it.

Alright, this was a lot of fun! Will probably prove to have the highest re-watch value of all four videos. I'll just hit on a few highlights:
I thought it was funny how you started right where the last one left off, with Tanahashi celebrating his ultimate triumph. And then immediately cut to him losing to Nagata.
I enjoyed the different ways you came up with to sync the lyric "belly up to the ground" very much.
I Nakamura re-invention sequence was what I was looking forward to most in this installment, and it lived up to my expectations.
The Bullet Club's rotating lineup was highlighted nicely. Bonus points for not including Cody.
Saving the various farewells and "I am alive" type moments for the end made for a great emotional high point to the video.
Just a great feel good video. And the perfect way to start the new year for the MV Zone.

I did not. Thanks for letting me know! And thanks for the lovely feedback, nice to see that you noticed some of the small stuff I was working on, like the belly up lyric. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!! Pretty neat, right? I think my favorite shots by far are the wide-angle ones with the waves in the background. Works almost unbelievable well in some cases (and not so much in others).

Hello, I saw your videos years ago, I love them, but I think YouTube has deleted it, if you have another platform where you can upload it, it would be a great pleasure to see it, and thank you for great videos.
