From Joey Style's Twitter:
This got me thinking about who should be in that list. Here are my personal top 10 based on charisma, in ring talent, promo skills, and influence to the business.
#10. "Macho Man" Randy Savage- Ooooo Yeah! He arguably had some of the most entertaining interviews in pro wrestling history and his in ring abilities weren't that bad also.
#9. Bret "The Hitman" Hart- It amazed me how good his matches were. Austin/Bret is still regarded as one of the best Mania matches of all time.
#8. Mick Foley- Ever since joining TNA his career has been seen as lackluster but to me he will always be one of the best. The things he put his body through at the peak of his career are enough to make it in my top ten.
#7. Ric Flair- One of the best talkers the business has seen, his career in the WWE was topped off by one of the best send offs I've ever seen.
#6. Kurt Angle- He is widely regarded as one of the best and for good reasons. Being able to transition from amateur wrestling to pro wrestling as well as he did amazed me. He has had some of the best matches in the WWE.
#5. The Undertaker- The deadman, in an era where most 80s gimmicks are dead his still stands strong. His career has been nothing short of great and he is no doubt a future HOFer.
#4. The Rock- The most electrifying man in sports entertainment....need I say more?
#3. Stone Cold Steve Austin- He led the Attitude Era into a time where pro wrestling was at its peak popularity wise. He might not have some of the in ring ability some of the other guys have but come on, people still chant "What?" in arenas.
#2. Hulk Hogan- You can argue all you want but the man represented pro wrestling for the better part of his career.
#1. Shawn Michaels- He has given me so many great memories of so many of his matches. After returning from what should have been a career ending injuring he put on some of the greatest shows in history.
Those are my personal top ten, what about yours?
