Wasn't able to watch all of Dynamite last night, but I was able to see that lovely main event. I'm really looking forward to the last episode of the year. The card looks fantastic!

Best episode of AEW. Opening match and ME was two of the best matches of Dynamite. Women's 4 way was so good! And that MJF promo was glorious. They're starting off the year really well.

I never realized how much I missed Taz as a commentator. He brings a level of credibility to his analysis that you just don't get from anybody else. Plus, he never fell into Grumpy Old Man ramblings like JR tends to. And he seems much more in touch with the current style than Schiavone. I'd make the permanent switch as soon as possible, but I know they won't.
Also liked seeing them run a smaller arena with a unique layout. Those types of buildings seem to have more character and create better atmosphere.

Taz was great, as he was on Dark a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t replace Shiavone with him though. The thing that Tony brings that I think is invaluable to the team is that he plays “the fan.” He doesn’t know everything, he asks questions, and seems to be having genuine fun with everything going on. I love that. Honestly, the best move would be replacing JR with Taz. It won’t happen, but Excalibur, Taz, and Tony is the strongest team. Have JR for special moments and sit down interviews. I think his consistent quality commentary days are sadly behind him.

I agree that JR is the weak part of the team. He just doesn't seem fully engaged with the product. I don't know of it's a matter of him not putting in the legwork. Or if he's just lost a step mentally. But it's frustrating and a bit sad to listen to.
The only thing that really bugs me about Schiavone is the way he insists on laughing every time Excalibur correctly names a move - especially if it's a Spanish name. It's not 1995 anymore, man! Lucha moves are extremely common in the US. Don't treat it like a novelty.

Was it just me, or was the booking of this episode very WWE? Teams of two singles stars going over top tag teams in tag team matches. An old time star beating up new guys they're supposed to be building up just for a nostalgia pop. The hokey nonsense with Brandi's crew. A predictable talking segment in the main event slot. It was disconcerting.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the distraction finish and the title match that ended in interference. There was literally nothing on this show that didn't seem like a WWE move.

- They desperately need someone else booking for the women. It's a shame Emi Sakura has her own company to run, the women could learn so much from her. - Nightmare Collective needs to go. - Every surprise debut besides Moxley has been a dud. Do hype video packages or something lmao. The AEW fans aren't as woke as everyone thought. - Aren't they partnered with OWE, DDT & AAA? Haven't seen/noticed any of their talent being used since they started TV. I guess they're trying to build their stars up first.
With TV you're bound to have bad episodes, but this week was really disappointing mainly because of the WWE-like booking as AD mentioned.

Honestly didn't mind the Moxley/Jericho segment until I realized it was ending a show that was supposed to be a revolution of wrestling the swerve was fun but this should have been the segment before main event match, totally agree with Cheeze on the womens division and Nightmare Collective Brandi doesn't have a charismatic bone in her nothing about her makes me give a shit about the stable its just like a Stephanie McMahon ego trip running rampant on the division Kong doesn't need a stable to be a monster of the division the entire thing to me comes off as a terrible rip off of CM Punks Straight Edge Society.
I feel like Page is heading toward a heel turn and feud with Kenny but going over Private party made no sense these guys beat the Bucks not long ago and get beat by a makeshift pairing of Page & Omega before PAC jumps Nakazawa which could have been used a way to create more tension between Page and Omega from Omega running to help his friend and Private party would get a W all the while pushing forward the feud between PAC and Omega before the Adam Page turn/feud I'm expecting. On a side note though I have been enjoying Sammy Geuvara's use of the picture in picture with his signs seeing as most of the time its so badly used so far refreshing to see someone making good use of it.

I can excuse a bad show every now and then. What I cannot excuse is making the same mistakes over and over again. Continue doubling down on things fans are rejecting and you're no better than Vince McMahon - and you'll effectively betray the "revolution" and everything this company was supposed to be.
Dark Order and Nightmare Collective are beyond saving. Write them off.

Brandi doesn't have a charismatic bone in her This is a shot at Cody, isn't it? I'm taking it as a shot at Cody. Well done, my friend.

So, apparently they are doing special episodes of Dynamite? Didn't promote this one too well. Good show, though.
