I'm trying to use MP4s in Sony Vegas but it's not working for me. I do have some that work, but others dont. The video doesn't show up.
Specifically, the RUDOS version of MP4 that you find on various sites. I could download the files in another file type, but I have so many episodes of Raw and Smackdown of this particular file that it would be a massive time saver if I could figure out how to make these ones work, plus they are good quality clips. Is there something I can download to fix this?
Thanks.

mp4 is not an editable format which is your problem. The problem with vegas is that vegas allows a lot of uneditable formats to be imported which leads to many problems. I would use a converter. I use prism works nice. A lot of people use Xvid which isn't an editable format but it gives you less problems. I use the laggarith codec aka uncompressed gives you a huge file so if you have the HDD I would suggest that because it will work perfect in Vegas if not just convert to Xvid. Might get some glitches in some clips but that goes away next time you open vegas. Hope this helps.
