Ultra-short thoughts (it's 7am over here....) -> LOL Kimbo -> Fuck Daley -> WOW Shogun. He seems to have trained for this fight with Undisputed a lot, that was the most Undisputed looking KO I've ever seen, complete with weird looking punch to the ear and flying mouthpiece. Shogun deserves it, even though I wanted to see Machida win. -> Yay UFC for the free stream!

Sad to see Machida KO'd, but that was the best UFC PPV of the year so far. Belcher/Cote was a good opener. Belcher looked good, but not good enough to start calling out Anderson. I was impressed with Kimbo's performance... before Meathead started throwing leg kicks. And I was impressed with Mitrione... up until the finish. He picked Kimbo apart, & then did his best Jake Shields impression to end the fight. Finished him with pillow punches. I'm actually surprised Miragliotta didn't let it continue like he did in the Kimbo/Thompson fight. Stephens vs Stout was a great back & fourth battle. The fight was really close, but I think Stephens got the edge with the knockdown & takedowns. Would love to see a rematch. El Dirte vs Filthy was a lot of fun to watch. I don't know how Doerksen survived that first round... he looked like he was done. Great comeback in the second. I think Lawlor gassed himself out trying finish the fight in round 1. Koscheck/Daley... oh boy. First Koscheck plays dead after being barely knee'd in the hair, then Semtex throws a punch after the fight. Koscheck must've been talking some serious shit in Daley's ear during that final minute. And top it all off with a full blown heel promo by Kos. I really hope GSP/Koscheck happens in Canada. Shogun/Machida II was awesome. I hadn't been this pumped for a fight in a long time. Both guys came in with new gameplans (Machida with takedowns & checking/countering legkicks; Shogun with actually throwing punches before the 5th round). The finish was very Undisputed-ish (although the mouthpiece didn't come out until they sat Lyoto up, dd). If we don't get a part 3 immediately, I say bring on Anderson/Shogun! Fuck Anderson/Sonnen! Edit: some post-PPV news... Sucker punch costs Semtex his job. Kimbo probably done in the UFC as well. Shogun not opposed to fighting Anderson Silva. UFC 113 Bonuses: Shogun gets KO of the Night, Belcher gets Submission of the Night, Stephens/Stout get Fight of the Night.

I watched a stream, so I couldn't rewatch the KO. I just read the part with the mouthpiece somewhere and assumed it to be true There's no point in Machida/Shogun III. I also want to see Anderson/Sonnen badly, if only for the countdown show and the 1/10000 chance of him molesting Silva for 25 minutes. And I've really turned the corner on Big Dan....a great man (still a shitty ref though). Loved his interaction with Anderson Silva after the Maia fight, LOVED him ragdolling Daley around and then cutting a promo on him. Now if the guy could only stop trying to get guys killed in the octagon (Mir/Carwin) and other bullshit like that, I would really love him. Didn't see any problems with his performances here and on the Bellator show, so maybe he is getting better.

I'm more than happy to watch Anderson clown Sonnen for half an hour, but I don't think many others are. I guarantee Anderson will be out for blood against the man who just knocked out his teammate/friend & Shogun will not be scared to engage.
I haven't changed my mind about Miragliotta yet, but you're right, he was "on" tonight. Also glad to see I'm not the only one who's been watching Bellator.

Did anyone catch the Strikeforce show? Overeem just demolished Rogers, Bret seemed very tentative and never really mounted any offense, very similar to the way Mir looked against Carwin. I guess the winner of Werdum vs Fedor will fight Overeem for the Strikeforce title....let's just hope it doesn't take two years to happen.

Rogers looked terrified and unsure what to do from the get-go. Some would say that he sucks, I say that Fedor recently beats up his opponents so bad that he essentially ends their careers (see: Arlovski, Andrei) Overeem looked really good, that throw was terrifying. Other than that, nothing show.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but I gotta disagree with you on this point, ddevil... All the Fedor lovers say that he breaks guys, all the Fedor haters say that they were cans to begin with. I'm more in the middle. I don't believe he broke Sylvia or Arlovski, I don't think they were cans... I just think they were 2 top guys from a by-gone era (back when UFC's heavyweight division was lackluster at best), that got to Fedor after the sport had passed them by. Rogers on the other hand was vastly overrated after he KO'd Arlovski & then even more so when he actually put up a fight against Fedor. Now it's up to Fedor's management if they want Fedor/Overeem... hopefully we can get it before Christmas... 2012.

Yeah, you're probably right, I was half-joking...I just get so annoyed when people slam Fedor for getting hit by a few punches in the Arlovski fight, then they ignore the knockout (all Andrei's fault, right?) and then say Andrei was never good to begin with. Probably the same guys that ranked him #2 HW before the fight (which was stupid to begin with, but he had a pretty good run before Fedor ran him over).

If you rewatch that Fedor/Arlovski fight (especially in slow-mo), Andrei barely landed anything. Fedor totally Anderson'd him, but in a much more subtle way.
The only reason anyone should dislike Fedor is because of his handlers & unwillingness to fight in the UFC.
