Eh, Maia took down Chael so he's certainly capable of taking down Shields. He doesn't need to be worried about being knocked out either like he was with Anderson.

Another EXCELLENT night of fights from WEC! Anyone thinking WEC wasn't worth the $45 price tag was sorely mistaken.
Nice KO for Tyler Toner.
Chad Mendes looked beastly. Looking forward to seeing more of him.
Pickett/Johnson was a war. Pickett looked great, even after he hurt his arm/shoulder/ribs(?).
Anthony Pettis looked really good against Karalexis. That switch kick to the face was beautiful.
Leonard "Bad Boy" Garcia vs "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung. What can I say... that shit was fuckin' EPIC! I thought Jung won the fight... he won round 1 & 3 definitively... round 2 could have gone either way. I just hope we get a rematch as soon as Leonard's hand heals. This fight was a billion times better than Avatar, HJA (although it wasn't as pretty to look at).
Scott Jorgensen impresses me more & more each time he fights. Banuelos had him hurt in that first round, but he came back strong to take the second & third. I can't wait to see him against Benavidez, Cruz, Torres, or Bowles.
Roller looked good in completely neutralizing Njokuani's stand-up & getting the rear naked choke.
How about that Manvil taking out Mike Brown. I did not see that coming at all.
WAR BENDO! Looked great subbing Cerrone in the opening minutes. That goose egg he elbowed onto Donald's forehead was nasty.
That Aldo/Faber match was hard to watch after about the midway point of round 2. It looked like Jose was trying to amputate Urijah's left leg. I winced everytime he shredded those kicks into Faber's thigh/knee. I was glad Jose showed mercy in the 5th (although I think he may have gassed a little after trying to finish with that crucifix at the end of the 4th).
Now bring on Machida/Shogun II!!!

Almost forgot to mention Dana smiling & hanging all over Jake Shields. That was pretty funny.
Also, since "WEC" was never mentioned during the broadcast, I hope this means UFC will be absorbing it very soon. All these guys deserve the notoriety that comes with being under the UFC banner.

Dana actually mouthing "He's mine" when shown next to Sheilds was kinda sad, I want that Mayhem fight badly.
Both Garcia and Jung got $65,000 bonuses, by the way.

The Shields/Dana thing was very uncomfortable to watch after the first 3 seconds.
Twas definetly a good night of fights.
Korean Zombie/Garcia was crazy awesome. No one deserved to lose, although Jung should have gotten the nod. I knew Jung was a gamer after seeing him in Sengoku but damn that was Bonnar/Griffin 1 on steroids.
Bendo making a statement and ending that shit on a dime was nuts. I don't really like him for some reason(hence me rooting for Varner in their fight and Cerrone in last nights fight) but damn he is a beast.
It was sad to watch Faber getting his leg mauled by Aldo. Faber could do nothing after that. Aldo is just on another level than anyone else...wtf is Manvil the Anvil going to offer?

The no "WEC" in the broadcast thing was something about agreements UFC has with Versus and Spike TV.

They played the Project heel song on the prelims, awesome! Also LOL at Rogan trying to find good things to say about the Houston Alexander-Kimbo fight.
American(/Mexican?) Zombie vs Korean Zombie was RIDICULOUS! Made Griffin/Bonnar 1 look like the most technical fight ever. Some people will absolutely hate this, but I loved it (not sure if laughing my ass off was the appropriate reaction to watching the fight, but I certainly enjoyed it).
