If this fight had gone down back in December like it was supposed to, I'd be rooting for Rampage.

I still do. Way less than I used to, but I just can't get behind Rashad. There were some moments in the Primetime were he actually seemed very likeable though. But the last 5 minutes of Primetime (the Lux Aeterna bit) made me look forward to the fight again, moreso than anything else they did after their first stare-down.

Rashad's new trademark: Winning the first two rounds by blanketing his opponent, then almost getting KO'd in the third. After that, his opponent just stops attacking even though Rashad is clearly hurt, and Evans gets the W. Pretty bad show. And holy fuck did Brilz get robbed, he fought the fight of his life. Also, LOL Duffee. Funniest KO in years?

Yeah, Brilz got screwed big time... definitetly won rounds 1 & 2. Luckily for him, he made a name for himself in this fight, as well a $65,000 fight of the night bonus.
Oh Duffee. Poor guy threw everything he had at Russow in the first round, slowed down, but still dominated in the second & third, then gets KO'd with one punch. That's rough.
Rampage/Rashad was pretty anti-climactic, but there was still a lot of drama (Rashad clipping Rampage in the first round sending him stumbling across the cage, nearly knocking himself out shooting into Rampage's knee). You've gotta give it up for Rashad coming in with a great gameplan & executing it to near perfection.
Overall the PPV wasn't that bad, Brilz/Lil Nog & Hathaway/Sanchez were good fights, Russow's come-from-behind-KO was pretty amazing, & Rampage/Rashad was decent.

Yeah, I'm probably too harsh on the show, but the combination of a horrible decision, all of my favorites losing and two rather dull fights to end the show made me pretty negative about it.

HEY GUYS!
If anyone could do me a favor and PM me download links to certain Clay Guida fights against certain Roger Huertas and certain Diego Sanchezes, that'd be lovely. The new missus is getting into MMA after Saturday's card and REALLY wants to see Mister Guida. Thanks!

Damn that was a good PPV tonight. Every fight that made it to air was entertaining.
It was great to see Danzig get screwed to open up the night. I hate that guy.
Evan Dunham tools Tyson Griffin for 3 rounds & barely squeaks out a split decision. Stupid judges. They should feed Gray "Wet Blanket" Maynard to Dunham after Florian.
Mike Pyle looked very good against Jesse Lennox. He looked like he was channeling the Diaz brothers in how loose he got, all those jabs he threw, & the triangle choke to top it off. I wanna see him fight Nate.
While it might have been a little controversial, I was still happy to see Carlos Condit comeback & win the fight in round 3 after losing 1 & 2 (how can you not love the guy... he's never been in a boring fight, he comes out to Rage Against the Machine, his nickname is Natural Born Killer, & he looks like the most unassuming badass ever). MacDonald looked really good before he gassed. Hopefully he'll work on that & grow from this loss.
Rothwell/Yvel was fun as hell for those first two rounds.
How good did Kampmann look! I was expecting him to have the more technical striking, but still end up getting clipped & tapped out. He outclassed the shit out of Paulo.
Cro Cop vs Barry was great. Saw two things I never thought I'd see: Cro Cop crack a smile during a fight & win via submission (not due to strikes). Barry looked super fast in the first round, but slowed down considerably in the second. He didn't look gassed though. Maybe he felt sorry for breaking his hero's face. Does anyone know exactly what Mirko said when he took the mic? It was loud in the bar & all I could make out was "Dana is stingy, I deserve submission & fight of the night."
30 seconds into the main event I thought to myself "Rich is gonna knock Chuck out," which is weird cause Chuck was looking pretty good up until about the last 10 seconds in the round. Good win for Franklin. Chuck, it's time to hang 'em up for good. That punch that knocked him out looked pretty weak. Great fight, though.
PS: Fuck soccer. ESPN2 has been bumping MMA Live for two weeks with their shitty soccer coverage. How the fuck do you bump a show that already airs at 1am?! Fuck you, rest of the world, for tricking America into caring about foozball for 15 minutes every decade!

Griffin lost? Wow. Crocop vs Barry was the feel good MMA moment of the year for me. Crocop was my first favorite fighter when I discovered MMA and I started following it after he had won the OWGP. After that, it has been nothing but a disappointment. I've never seen him so open and happy, he was already smiling and high-fiving fans when he came out! His promo was great too Loved this. Crocop had one "proper" submission prior to this, a guillotine against Randleman. But him submitting Barry WITH NO HOOKS IN was great, laughed my ass off. Poor Chuck, I thought he looked pretty good for a while there. He NEEDS to retire for good this time.

Yeah, I know Cro Cop had 1 real submission before last night, but it was 6 years ago... against Kevin Randleman... everyone's subbed him... even Ron Waterman.

Wandy is out of his UFC 116 fight against Sexyama Leben is replacing him. Props to him for stepping up. I think Akiyama works him tho.

Sucks about Wandy. Heard Sexyama wanted to back out of the fight. We will see. I doubt I will get the event now. Brock and Carwin was going to be cool but Wandy was the selling point for me. I guess I will hold out till 117.
In other news, Keith Jardine got cut by the UFC. Four straight losses, but I thought he fought hard against Hamill.
Is anyone getting the Werdum vs Fedor card? It's only $25 for Standard and $35 for HD. Gotta like those prices, if UFC had PPVS at that price I would get alot more of their events instead of picking and choosing. I had this sinking feeling that Werdum may get lucky in this one, the signs are there. Strikeforce is already building up Overeem vs. Fedor and Overeem is suppose to challenge him after the fight. I know Fedor is a pro and wouldn't look past his opponent but in MMA you never know.
Needless to say, Strikeforce needs Fedor to win this one. Strikeforce is planning on a Fall Return to CBS with The main fight being Fedor vs Overeem, Diaz vs Miller and the possible return of Gina Carano! ( ;D) I'm really pulling for Strikeforce this Saturday, competition is always for the better.

here's a stream for Strikeforce... pro-streams.com/ on channel 2. I'll give my thoughts on Strikeforce & all of this past weeks MMA cards afterwards. Edit: "Welcome to the Shank Tark"
