Good night of fights, but it left me disappointed cause most the guys I wanted to win lost.  Mike Brown looked awful. It's hard to believe he beat Faber twice & was the featherweight champ only a couple years ago. Just completely outclassed by Yahya. DaMarques Johnson accidently tapping out Michael Guymon with the body triangle was pretty damn funny. Sad to see Cody McKenzie lose. Not that I thought he could ever be a top tier 155'er or anything like that, but he's a fun guy to watch & Yves is pretty much past his prime. It was a good fight, though. It was also badass (& kinda funny) the way Cody refused to tap & his limp arms were flailing about. Sad to see Cole Miller get worked by Wiman. I'm a big fan of Cole, but after the first couple of minutes, he had absolutely nothing. Wiman was very impressive. Barry/Beltran was frustrating to watch. Pat could have kicked The Mexicutioner's leg clean off at any point in that fight, but didn't. He'd throw a leg kick or two, then spend the next few minutes looking for a Pettis-headkick & letting Beltran pin him against the cage. He didn't show any urgency until the closing seconds. Stop trying to be Mr. Nice Guy, Pat! Mark Hominick looked great. Roop trying to get up & walk towards him after the finish was hilarious. Can't wait for Aldo/Hominick! Matt Mitrione just keeps getting better. I'd love to see him whoop up on Brendan Schaub. And just like that, the Evan Dunham hype train has been derailed.  Melvin looked great. He hits so fuckin' hard & fast that he can be a handful for anyone in the division... add Greg Jackson as his coach... this kid has the potential to be a nightmare. |

It was just awful. 90% portuguese questions, Silva refusing to speak English yet again and giving one-word answers, his translator apparently falling asleep, etc. Plus a bunch of really stupid questions. Vitor kept being asked about his mental problems and past tragedies (yes, apparently everybody wanted to talk about his dead sister) and kept talking about finding God instead.
