Just saw the recap on bloodyelbow & this made me laugh... - Silva: There are a lot of great fights, but the fight of the decade would be me fighting my clone. So true! Oh god no. I'd expect that fight to go down like this:

That may have been the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Nothing can top watching Anderson Silva on his A-Game at 6:20 in the morning.....awesome stuff.

Stupid Silva. I wanted Belfort to win so badly. The event as a whole was not a terrible card but I was very disappointed with the card. The fights were not bad but most (excluding the main event) were so predictable or ended before they got started. I am very glad that Forrest won and he was the only pick I got right. Bones dominated his fight and it'll be interesting to see what happens in his title fight. I gotta tip my hat to Silva, I don't like the guy but he went in there and did work. One step closer to our Silva/GSP fight! I had never seen Miguel Torres fight and was really looking forward to him tonight but was very underwhelmed. The fighter that I think stole the show was Donald Cerrone.
This is going to set up what will be some interesting matchups coming up. We have Shogun vs Jones for the title. They re trying to sky rocket Jones into the big time and what better way than with a title fight with Shogun. That being said, Jones will have a short camp to take on the Champ so it'll be interesting to see how...or if it affects his approach to the fight. I had no idea that Rashad blew out his knee, I didn't read anything about it and you figure with so many websites that cover mma one would have mentioned it. Although, I do remember them saying that before his fight with Thiago that his knee was bothering him. Now, where does this put Forrest? Certainly he is not next in line but with recent injuries he has to be in the top five. I did read somewhere that Forrest broke his foot again so he is going to take some time off. Maybe they could match Rashad with Forrest or Rampage.

I agree, Wraku. I don't think the show turned out as good as it should have. Mighty Mouse vs Kid Yamamoto was rather uneventful. It was just Johnson getting super quick takedowns over & over for 3 rounds. Chad Mendes is progressing nicely. His stand up & ground'n'pound are getting sharper. Now he needs to work on his conditioning & striking defense... Omigawa landed some good shots on him. Good quick win for Kyle Kingsbury... awful nickname. Happy to see Donald Cerrone win his UFC debut, especially after Kelly faked the glove touch & tried to sucker punch him. Cerrone is always fun to watch. That rear naked choke was nasty. Torres is a lot better & more exciting than he showed... which is saying a lot seeing as he still made Banuelos look silly. Go watch his fight with Takeya Mizugaki if you wanna see him at his best. Ellenberger/Rocha was exciting in the first round (that kimura Rocha pulled from being sprawled on was slick as hell), but the second & third were stinky. Jonny "Bones" Jones made Bader look like a scrub. Rashad being injured was news to me & judging by the look on his face, I think it was news to Jon too. I don't think any sites knew about it either. Bones/Shogun is gonna be sick. WAR BONES!!! Griffin/Franklin was the biggest disappointment of the night for me. I expected these guys to stand & bang for 15 minutes. Instead, Forrest laid on Rich for the entire 1st round & the stand up exachanges in the 2nd & 3rd were just plain lackluster. Wraku, I think Forrest is #6 or 7 in the UFC light heavyweight division. I'd rank Shogun, Jones, Rashad, Rampage, Machida, & maybe Thiago Silva above him. Rampage fights Thiago in May. It'd be better if Forrest fights the winner of Machida/Couture. And Anderson Silva silences the haters yet again. He took everything Vitor gave him, then made him taste his foot for his troubles. I just can't believe we're finally gonna get Silva vs GSP!

Two things:
As much as I love Bones Jones, he's not winning that title fight.
GSP vs. Silva is going to do a retardedly high buyrate.

That fight isn't set in stone yet. GSP has to beat Shields first...
.......okay, who am I kidding? Shields isn't getting out of the first round.
And I agree about Shogun. Jones will be in a world of trouble against a healthy Shogun. The odds of Shogun actually being healthy worry me though.
