Im actually really excited. So many lower-tier teams have made really big moves! Ex. T-Wolves, Lakers, Bucks, Thunder, etc. So this coming season should be really exciting.

Well. DeAndre is back with the Clippers.
This whole situation was so unreal and insane.

The Clippers look like a big competitor for the championship, now when they got DeAndre back and they also have the truth and Lance Stephenson. EDIT:So the Clippers signed with Josh Smith too.

Rondo and Cousins on the same team? That's gonna be an adventure.

Rondo and Cousins on the same team? That's gonna be an adventure. A wacky adventure or an adventure like when you eat $40 worth of Taco Bell? I only got to watch a couple of Summer League games this year (my DirecTV package doesn't include NBA TV, but I'm gonna haggle with them to give me that channel back) and congrats to Becky Hammon and the Spurs. She did a fantastic job coaching that squad. I hope she gets an opportunity to coach an NBA team someday, she's learning from the best and is only to get better as we go forward.

Yall are just now hearing about Rondo signing with the Kings? I heard about that forever ago.
I think Cousins and Rondo are going to be fine together, I don't see Cousins attitude a bad thing. I just think he really wants to win. The media makes him out to be this attitude filled guy and worse than he really is all the time.
Plus Rondo is great friends with Rudy Gay and I can see the 3 of them meshing very well together. I just really hope we can make the play offs this year, it would mean a lot to the city and the fans who have been loyal in this bad run.

I heard it a while ago, just felt like sharing my thoughts now. Cousins and Rondo both have a 'bad' attitude, so it's interesting to see how it works. P.S - I don't think those kinds of attitudes are always a bad thing, as long as it is not too much. Cousins really wants to win, that's good. But Rondo, I hope he won't act like he acted with the Mavs last year. I agree with Adam and would also like to throw in the fact that George Karl tried to trade Cousins this past summer so that relationship is already off to a bad start and owner Vivek Ranadivé is the kind of owner that has a huge ego but doesn't have any prior basketball knowledge to lead the Kings to a more prosperous future. He got rid of a great coach in Mike Malone for no apparent reason and has since made the Kings a laughing stock. The city of Sacramento does deserve better but it doesn't look like that will happen for some time if Ranadive doesn't get the right people on his staff to develop this young team.

Trust me, I know all about that situation lol. There isn't 1 kings fan on earth that wants George Karl as our coach. I would MUCH rather have Mike Malone who did improve the team when we had him, plus had an amazing relationship with all of our players.(Regardless of Karls accomplishments)
I'd much rather have Vivek as our owner than the Maloofs, who are the ones who put us in this hole. lol Thankfully Vlade Divac has been able to make improvements to the roster during this off-season.

I would like to share a Vlade Divac story. I've never met him personally, but I was graduating from 8th grade when the Kings/Lakers 2002 Western Conference Finals was happening and it was almost like gang warfare at my school between who you chose your allegiance to (I picked SAC btw). My graduation hit a snag when the power went out and being that it was an outdoors ceremony...in the middle of June...so naturally it was hot. My parents came up to me and asked me if I needed water or anything and all I said to them was "What's the score in the game?" That's how big that series was here. So where does Vlade Divac tie into my story? NBA Live 2002 was the basketball game at my school and most of the people I knew (and some I didn't) would have tournaments and stuff but it would never be in an actual game. It was always in the one on one mode, and I would always pick Divac because he was a good defender and had enough skill at stealing that he was a perfect player to select since no one could really go man-up on him. So I'm winning and winning, then during one game I couldn't get to the basket. I think the other guy picked Charles Oakley and just couldn't get close enough to lay it in or slam it, so I started to take shots further and further away from the basket to the point I started hitting threes. That's when I found out about (and this nickname is still said among me and my brother whenever we talk about him) Three Point Divac. I never lost again when I found out he can shoot threes.

I think I'd be more surprised with a headline of "Derrick Rose is Healthy" than seeing he's injured again. I just expect it every season. Sometimes I forget he's even a basketball player.
Luckily its only a orbital fracture which means depending on where the fracture is on the orbital he shouldn't be out long at all.

Sucky thing is, somebody else elbowed him. So its not really his fault on this one.
It's crazy to look back on how freaking good he was during his mvp run. SOOOOOOOO talented, if only he could stay healthy.

Another cool development. The Sacramento Kings are down here in San Diego, practicing at my school! pretty cool.

I just feel bad for D-Rose. I know that people got miffed because he was talking about FA 2 years from now and setting his eyes towards that...but given how the injury bug has bitten him the last three years, maybe he's seeing that as his last real chance to get a good contract before his career is over. That can all change if he stays injury free from here until 2017 and will be able to command a bigger contract than he thinks he can get right now.
Just like IMG said, we were talking about him as a top 5 guy just 3 years ago and to see his career take the trajectory it has and everyone throwing stones at him whenever he says something we don't agree with is sad. I liked what Dan LeBatard said on his radio show today about this whole situation:

I know he's not in the league right now, but I'm praying for Lamar Odom. Hope he's okay and it has nothing to do with his past substance abuse problem.
