So I put everything on the line for this girl and she told me she didn't feel the same way about me. I asked if there was ever a possibility that could change in time and she said she didn't want to give me false hope.
To say I was crushed would be putting it mildly.
Now I'm just here, don't know what to do next and just sulking. I hate it but I guess this is something that I have to do in order to "get over it".

Give it time, brother. That shit's as annoying as it can get. Play a lot of videogames, and try to keep her off your thoughts. Gotta be thankful at least she was straight forward, and didn't lead you on, which could've been the worst shit ever. We here for ya brother

Take it from someone who lived like that for years and years, life is way too short to spend your time on people who don't totally value and dig everything you are and everything you're about! I used to always hate when people would say this to me, but it's true; the right one is out there, and she's looking for you. You just have to give it time and take comfort in knowing that when you find it and it's real, there's nothing better.

Finding a job ... that shit is hard man. Especially when it's your first. So many employers want you to have loads of previous experience, yet no one is willing to help you get it. Keep your chin up, and swing for the fences, is the advice I can give you. And apply EVERYWHERE!

So, I've kinda been thinking bout my ex-gf for a while now. Like "missing" kinda. I'm not exactly sure what to make of it, being that I'm involved in a relationship now (which, while stable, is boring as hell now), and given how everything went down with the ex, I really don't know what to make of it.
Been 7 years since we had any sort of contact. We've managed to avoid each other ever since. Not a phone call, not a single text. Nothing.
I don't know if time will make it easier or harder to say "Hi, how you've been?" given our track record.
Thoughts?

Just send a text. The mote you think about it the stranger it will feel.
And honestly, you could even say "Oh i thought i was texting a different (insert name here)" Another way around it is to say something like it's intended for a different person. Idk.
Unless you intend to make something out of it, those two ways could be somewhat icebreakers.
